Last night I had nightmares.
I remember two.
One was terrifying and the other was just unnerving.
The first one actually caused me to wake up, throw my arm over my face and verbally gasp- which is something I've never done before. I wonder if this isolation thing really is taking a toll on my mental health or if I'm just overreacting.
Anyway.
I dont remember much but I remember being in a dark room-very cliche, I know- but in my dream, I was ready for something to happen. I was prepared for it to be a scary dream.
I thought it was going to be something about my Dad, as a lot of my nightmares are. But in actual fact, there had been a woman sitting at a writing desk. She had a typical ghostly look to her. Her hair was long and black and she was wearing plain clothing. When I approached her, she turned to face me and when she saw me, she tipped the old-fashioned ink pot she had been working with into her ear. This was so bizarre and I began to back away. Why would she do that?
I began to feel cold and nauseous and turned around. But as soon as I had turned to face the other way, she had appeared in front of me, yanked my head to the side and poured into my ear.
That is when I woke up, out of breath and holding my ear.
The second dream seemed very real.
I was taking a walk around the local country park, as I often do when I stay at my mum's, and was on the way back. The only thing was, my younger sisters were running in and out of the bushes but as their childhood selves- as if they were seven and five again. In my dream I thought 'okay, that's a bit weird.' But continued on my way. When I got to my mums street. My youngest sister, Destiny, stood there. Her body was long and thin and she was in a pink stripy top and some denim shorts. Her face was her 5 year old face, when she was still chubby and had cut her own hair with scissors. I knew this wasn't right. That couldn't be Destiny because Destiny was an adult now. I thought 'this is a ghost, or a time lapse, or something equally paranormal' but she seemed harmless. She said nothing to me and only pointed into the Bush where a silver ball was trapped beneath some thorns. I understood that she wanted me to retrieve it and thought 'why not?' So I clambered through the bushes and chucked it back to her. However, I threw too hard and the ball went into the Bush on the other side. The Destiny apparition just looked a little disheartened and as I climbed back through to reach it from the other end, she followed me closely. It was unnerving, but she only wanted me to get her the ball. I gave it to her and returned back to my mum's, where everything is as it seems now. As if nothing unusual had happened.
Those are the dreams I had last night.
Today has been an okay day. Not perfect but not bad. Everything is just very slow. But that's okay. I can deal with that.
