Mizuki Maes yawned, daylight poured into her room causing her to squint. She let out a groan, rolling over, she threw the blanket over her head to block out the light. Her brother Kyoko knocked on the hard oak wood door to her bedroom. "Mizuki! wake up, or we are gonna be late for school" "But I don't wanna get up" She rolled flat on her back, looking up at her sky blue ceiling. Earlier that year, her and her mother had painted her whole room. Her mom painted old twisted oak trees across a light blue sky, white clouds scattered the ceiling. The bottom of her walls and along her floors was a light green field with a mixture of purple, blue, and purple flowers. She sighs then sits up. Her mom was now at work from four in the morning to around eleven at night. They rarely saw each other. Her father had ran off when she was born, claiming he could not handle two kids and her mother.

Mizuki got up, pushing her black hair off of her shoulders. She stretched, reaching towards the sky and down to the floor, rolling her head back. She walked to her closet, choosing a dark blue skirt and a black school shirt. She pulled them on, looking at herself in the body length mirror that was on the other side of her room. She pulled her black hair into a bun so she could do her makeup without it getting in her way. She lined her eyes with black, her coal black eyes sparking. She pulled out her dark green contacts, putting them in. She blinks a few times and smiles at herself. She all but skipped to her closet, pulling out her boots and her white knee-high socks, sliding them on. She grabbed her bookbag, skipping out of her door.

Kyoko laughed, watching his twin sister skip out of her room "you do know that we only have ten minutes to get to school right? That mean's I have to drive like a bat out of hell" He stuck his tongue out at her. Mizuki rolls her eyes "you drive like a bat out of hell anyway Kyo" Kyoko smoothed out his school uniform smirking "would you rather walk or ride the bus, now come on!" They both took off, running to Kyoko's truck. Mizuki climbed into the passenger side as he climbed into the drivers. He backed up, going down the road that led to their school.

"Hey what's that?" Mizuki asked, looking at the ambulance and police that lined an accident on the side of the road. A van was overturned, weird and colorful liquid covered three people that were thrown on the ground beside the van "don't worry about it Mizuki, it was probably just some weirdo messing with things and lost control." He edged past the accident, driving into their school parking lot "Get to class you have two minutes" Mizuki smacks her brothers shoulder softly "don't forget we have to go to the store today, the fridge is like empty" She pulled her naturally straight hair out of the bun, letting it fall over her shoulders before walking to the school. She squeals as she feels someone tap her shoulder "Mizuki Maes! You said you would get here early so we could finish the project!" Mizuki turned around to look at her best friend Tarah.

Tarah was forever changing her hair color. Last week it was a bright orange and now this week it was a pastel pink. Tarah's dark blue eyes looked at Mizuki, her lips turned into a playful smile. "I'm sorry Tarah I overslept and besides it not due till another week!" Tarah rolls her eyes "I know I know, but I wanna finish it ya know early so I don't have to do it later" Tarah taps her foot "nevermind, I'll meet you after school to do it ok?" Mizuki shook her head "i'm supposed to go somewhere with my brother Tarah, just come over later ok?" Tarah nods before walking to her class, her pastel pink hair swinging behind her.

"Mizuki laughed and rolls her eyes and flips her hair over her shoulder, walking over to her locker, seeing a note sticking out of the locker

Note.

"hey baby, its me Gabriel, I just wanted to say I love you and Ill pick you up after school have a good day"

Mizuki smiles, tucking the note into her pocket, grabbing her history book, she started to go to her class. A scream echoed from outside, causing her to whip around and run to the door at the end of the hall, locking outside, she saw one of the police officers that she saw that accident on the road, tearing a girls throat out with his teeth.
