Words hurt me
more than a bruise
Words can get stuck
in my mind for years
while bruises can
last weeks or days
Words affect people
a lot more than a bruise
can ever cause
Words to me hurt like
a knife in my heart
and each knife
has your name burned
onto it's steel
and into a fragile heart
it bleeds and bleeds
never stopping
never done healing
but the more it heals
the worse it starts to hurt
