It is called the mercury(I) ion because it can be thought of as two Hg+ ions bound together. The cations that…

I took a large bite off of my third slice of super cheesy pizza as I continue to study for my last exams. It has been such a two-week hell for the entire LK Academy. Oh well, that’s a con of studying in LKA where everyone, students or faculties, are trained not only to perform well but also to excel greatly.

Kaya heto ako ngayon, binge reading on my chemistry book while eating pizza and fries and drinking soda. It’s unhealthy but I can’t help it. Ito ang mga comfort foods ko and it’s just reasonable kasi stressed na stressed na ako.

Mabuti nalang at panghuling exam namin ang chemistry, giving me more time to study for it.

My phone vibrated so I picked it up. It was a text from Bea.

BEAutiful: Abiiiiii

BEAutiful: Giiiiirl, you won’t believe it!

I was about to type a reply, but my phone rang and it was Bea who called.

“Bea, anyare?”

“Abiiiiiii iiiiiihhhh”, tumili ito at feeling ko tumakas lahat ng natitira kong brain cells.

I put my phone on speaker at inilayo ko ito sa akin.

“Bea ano ba? It’s midnight at nagtitili kadyan!”

“Aweee sorry naman. Na surprise lang talaga ako sa pangayayari ihhhhhh”, tumili na naman ito.

I sighed. I was about to reprimand her again nang narinig ko ang baritonong boses ng daddy ni Bea in the background.

“Sweetheart, what’s the matter?”, said her father’s panicking voice.

“I’m sorry daddy. Everything’s fine po, may nabasa lang po ako sa phone ko. Nagising ko po ba kayo?”

“Yes, good thing your mother did not. She was stressed from work so please tone it down. Okay?”, mahinahong sabi ng papa niya.

“I’m so sorry dad. Sorry po, hindi ko po sinasadya. Pasensya na po”

“It’s okay sweetie. I’ll go back now”

I hear her door shut close.

“Abi andyan kapa?”, she asked.

“Oo, still here. So, anong nangyari? Let me guess you found another on-sale package of canvasses online?”, tanong ko while leaning on my chair.

Bea is an artist. She loves art just as much as I love mathematics.

“Nope. It’s not that. It’s an entirely different thing”

“Eh, ano nga? Pa-suspense ka pa dyan eh magsa-study pa ako wuy!”, I said jokingly, and she gasped.

“Hala! Sorry Abi, nakalimutan kong may exam kapa pala next week. Sige babye muna. I’ll just visit you tomorrow at your house para makipagchika”

“Actually, baka pwede sa McDo dito malapit sa amin tayo magmeet? May mga bisita kasi si mama bukas, mga workmates niya raw”

“Even better! Sige bye for now bespren! See you tomorrow. Just text me the time”

“Okay bye! Mwah!”

“Mwah!”

I was munching on my Egg McMuffin when I hear somebody cleared their throat. I looked up to see a very familiar guy.
