"Nigga yo fake Snoop Dogg looking ass be taking forever to get to point A to point B" bino joked about Nipsey causing us to laugh.
"Bino I know yo chubby ass ain't talking. Nigga it's a tradition for yo ass to be late cuz" Nipsey joked, making us all laugh.
We countined to laugh as the two went back and forth.
My phone beeped showing a message I received.
It was my boyfriend Nico. Me and him are not in the best place. At all.
All he wants to do is control me.
Hubby Nico 🥰: be outside I'm on my way.
I sighed. I didn't even want to leave but he feels I should be home.
"Guys I'm about to go" I told them playfully pouting.
"Aaaww man come on we suppose to be turning up tonight" Nipsey came towards me.
"I know but I got to handle somethings" I lied.
Nip just stared at me. Frowning he asked "it's that nigga ain't it?" He continued to stare.
"Nip no-" he cut me off.
"No, no, no. You ain't gotta tell me cause you gone lie for him" he waved me off. He started walking off.
"Nip" I softly spoke. He ignored me.
He walked to the back of the house where I couldn't see him anymore.
I just left out the house on the verge of tears. I stood on the side of the road waiting.
Nipsey was like a big brother to me. Our families were close but we weren't actually related. We grew up together. He's always tried to protect me.
People use to think we dated or that we should have dated, but we didn't see no need. We just knew we loved each other and that was enough.
As I seen Nico's car approaching Bino's house, I got a message from nip.
NIP 💙🔐: I know something going on with you and that nigga. You just Betta not let me find out.
I gasped knowing he was serious.
When Nico pulled up I got in and he drove off.
The car was silent for a few minutes.
"Was that bitch Nipsey there?" He asked me.
He didn't like Nipsey one bit. So now I sneak and see him while at Bino's house.
"No, he was gone" I lied.
I felt a throbbing sensation due to the slap he just gave me.
"Bitch stop lying. I seen his car. You think I'm dumb or something" he shouted.
I cried silently wishing I could escape this.
"I'm sorry" I cried.
He stopped at a stop sign.
"Yeah you Betta be" he grabbed my throat squeezing, while his other hand was on the steering wheel.
"Nico" I breathe trying to get his hands off of me.
He finally let go leaving me to catch my breath.
In that moment I realized this negro will try to kill me.
I abruptly jumped out the car almost hurting myself. I ran and ran until I got close to Bino's house. As I was getting close, Nico's car started coming my way.
I started to run again making him go faster.
As I got closer to the house I seen no one was outside. Damn. I ran up the steps and bamed on the door.
Hoping he doesn't grab me before they open this door.
"Open the door it's Angel" I yelled shaking.
When Nico got out the car Bino opened the door. I got in quick and closed it, locking it.
"What the fuck is going on? And why yo face so red?" Bino was getting angry.
He was like a big brother also.
"Aye Nip, come look at this shit" he called out.
"What the FUCK?" nip got extremely heated.
Before we could say anything else we heard banging on the door.
"Angel get your ass out here let's go!" Nico yelled through the door.
"That nigga did this to you?" He asked getting mad.
I blocked the door. "Nip no, don't do anything crazy" I begged him.
"I already told you to let me not find out anything and I found out anyway so move" he picked me up and moved me.
By this time I'm crying because this isn't going to end well.
Nip opened the door. "Nigga you gotta go, she staying with me tonight" nip shooed him off, but Nico didn't budge.
Nico chuckled "nigga you think you all that, you ain't no different than any other nigga on the block" he retorted.
I came to where he could see me.
He started walking up the steps to me.
"Angel bring yo ass on let's go" he ordered.
I started to walk towards him but Nip pushed me back.
"Don't you make another move Angel" nip demanded.
I'm more scared of nip than Nico so of course I didn't move.
"Bitch bring yo ass on and nigga you don't tell my bitch to -" nip cut him off with blows to the face.
Nipsey was punching him non stop, I was scared he was gonna kill him.
I didn't want Nico to die and I damn sure didn't want nip going to prison.
"Nip stop please" I cried.
"Call her another bitch again nigga! Do it" he screamed at Nico before stopping.
Nip's hands were bloody and Nico was just lying on the floor not moving.
We checked to make sure he wasn't dead and he wasn't.
Nip stormed off in the house upset.
Three weeks later
It had been close to a month since the Nico situation went down. Nipsey new after that fight Nico would try and retaliate so we moved into a condo.
We've even gotten a lot closer.
"Nip" I started. "What's up ma?" He replied.
"Thank you for standing up for me and giving me a fresh start" a tear ran down my face. I was so grateful for him.
He came closer to me. "What I told you when we was kids? He asked me.
"That you'll protect me til death" I smiled remembering those words.
"Yep" he smiled kissing me on the forehead before speaking "and I damn sure ain't gone stop now" he finished.
