The Truth

The events leading up to the The First Galactic War (GW1) and hopefully the last, where just recently revealed. The unusual events shall be revealed to you now, in this exclusive. For the first time ever we are going to learn the truth behind the events that led to the destruction of the two greatest races in the known universe, firstly we must go back to the dark days before interstellar travel, all the way the Third, and final, World War. Yes, it's hard to believe, but I as a journalist owe it, to you, my readers, to report the full story.

We've all heard the story of how the Three Superpowers, (USA, USSR and China) fell into an inevitable war, the Earth's resources where almost depleted, and thus the war began for Earth's remaining resources.

The war lasted ten, long years. Cities where destroyed beyond salvation, the very earth itself had changed into an unrecognisable ruin. The remaining survivors, led by Hope, a virtuous young man. He banded the human race together, for the first time in Earth's long history. They began to build a new city upon the foundations of the Old World, this new city became known as Terra Novus, New World. Eventually the whole planet became known as the New World, because that's what it was humanity's new dawn, a new age of prosperity, the world had been remade.

It seemed nothing could go wrong, but one day a red sun arose, the world had changed again, everyone knew, they just didn't know how. The worst tragedy had struck since the second 9/11. Hope was lost.

Without a trace, as if he had just vanished into thin air. But instead of erupting into chaos, the world stood still. Hope's most trusted advisors, began a systematic search, for any clues to where Hope had gone. This was a charade of sorts, to hide their true intentions to protect Hope's one and only daughter Destiny.

I do not know, or even attempt to understand why Hope left or what default orders he set. I just want everyone to know the true story, so you can make up your own minds about what happened.

As the last of Hope's advisory died, people began to worry that the world would plunge into chaos, yet again. Luckily it didn't happen again, the world was growing past its old ways, there need to revert back to the easy path, when something hard came along. We had taken a step forward, Hope's plan was working, soon we would be ready.

Unfortunately, life had an unexpected twist in turn, in the name of 'the Altarians'. Mankind's first encounter with an alien race, it was thought to be a good omen for the future of the human race. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn't, that's for you to decide.

The Altarians promised new technologies, which they gave us gradually, fearing we would instigate a galactic war, some could argue it was us who began the war, but I believe it was both the Altarians and us, the war wouldn't have started without our joint efforts. The Altarians withholding technology and information, and our natural curiosity. The more we gain the more we want, our greed feed the Altarians distrust.

You wanted the truth and now you have it, the worst war to devastate our lands began from a blown out of proportion, misunderstanding.
