This Is Not What It Looks Like (A Litten x Popplio Love Story)

Chapter 8: Fulfilled Quest

When the group enters the forest down to where the dungeon is, everyone was talking to each other on the way. Popplio was besides Litten while they were in front of everyone. "Hey, Litten?" She called out. "Hm? Is something wrong?" He asked. "Well, back when we were at the Rehab Room, at first you never seem to show how you really care to anyone. But now you did so, why?" She asked him but he calmly answers the question with a small yet cute smile on his face. "I wanted to have friends who are kinder and reliable than my trainer, so that's why I start to show some support little by little." The answer made everyone that was following him felt very touched by this. "Wow Litten, that's the nicest thing anyone has ever said." Vulpix said. "Yeah! We are sure to be your friends!" Joltik added before everyone shouted "Agree!!" in unison which made Litten very flustered before he looked down and blushes a lot. "Aww guys, that's too much for me." He mumbles before they all came to him and rubs his head to show how supportive they are. "We will support you no matter what, Litten!" Popplio shouted which made him very happy.

When they found the entrance to the secret dungeon, they found there was a hard falling waterfall and there was a big hole behind the waterfall, it was the entrance to the cave, but it only requires them all to jump through the waterfall. "Oh great, it has to be water..." Litten said in annoyance while Vulpix looked very scared. "How do we get passed this? The water is coming down very hard." Pikachu asked but then Popplio, Oshawott, and Piplup came in front of the group before they use their water power to make a gap on the waterfall. "You guys jump ahead! Since we are water types, we'll jump through the waterfall!" Oshawott shouted before the group nodded and they jumped through the gap. When they are all in the entrance, both Piplup and Oshawott holds Popplio's flippers. "Alright, it's our turn to jump!! Brace yourself!!" Piplup warned before they all jumped through the hard falling waterfall. Luckily enough, the three of them survived and they safely landed in front of the group. "Wow that was a pretty close one." Said Popplio before Litten came up running to her. "Are you alright?! Did you got hurt?!" He asked in worries. "Hehe, it's alright, I'm fine."

Litten sighs in relieve before Chespin called out. "Hey guys! It looks like the entrance is locked with some kind of code." He pointed at the entrance that was locked with a big stone door; on the door there were 3 holes that represent flames, waters, and leaves. "Oh no, is there any way we can unlock this door?" Alolan Vulpix asked. Joltik looked around before she saw some writings on the wall; the writings were made using Unown's letters. "It looks like the only way to open the entrance is to fill the holes with the respective types." Joltik read. "Alrighty then. Hey Vulpix? Oshawott? Mind helping me out?" Chespin called out. "Don't mind if I do." Vulpix said before walking up beside him. "With pleasure." Oshawott said before following Vulpix. The three of them fills the holes of the door with their respective moves. Then, the door starts to glow and breaks to chunks. "Yes! It opens!" Oshawott said while smiling. "Well, it's been a millennial since someone dare to enter the dungeon." A mysterious voice asked. Suddenly, there were 3 pokemon appeared in front of the group. A Serperior, a Typhlosion, and a Swampert.

"But even know you all manage to open the entrance, doesn't mean we'll let you pass." Swampert said before banging the ground using his big hands. "Oh no. Guys! Go on ahead! The three of us will hold them off! You guys go on ahead!" Chespin shouted to them. "Huh? Are you sure you guys going to be alright?" Litten asked, looking a bit worried. "Yeah! We can handle them! Just go!" Oshawott said to them before the rest of the group went off ahead, leaving Chespin, Oshawott, and Vulpix to take care of the guardians. When they went deep into the dungeon, they saw a Golurk facing it's back to them while blocking the way to the staircase where the Jirachi might be. "Oh great, another blockade." Popplio said while groaning. "Don't worry, I'll distract that one, you guys will have to go ahead." Piplup said to them. "I'll help out on this one." Said Alolan Vulpix before the two of them went off. They then use Scald and Icy Wind to get the Golurk's attention. The Golurk looked at them and starts shooting stones at them, they manage to dodge the attack and hide.

The remaining group manages to sneak to the stairs and starts running around the floor where they are. They then found another staircase. But strangely, it was blocked with an aura barrier. They looked around the barrier in confusion. "It looks like something or someone is using a move to make this barrier." Said Pikachu before poking the barrier, suddenly the barrier disappeared and the whole floor starts to shake. "Whoa! What is happening?!" Popplio asked while trying to keep herself steady. Out of nowhere, a Gardevoir came out of one of the pillar that holds the floor while saying. "I'm impressed some pokemon dare to interrupt my guarding duty, but it looks like your journey ends here." She said before charging a Shadow Ball. "Oh great. Hey Litten? Popplio? Go on ahead! We'll take care of her!" Said Joltik. "What? Are you sure you guys going to be alright?" Litten asked while he holds Popplio close to him. "Yeah! The three of us against one, we can handle this!" Pikachu stated. "Alright, I'm counting on you thre." Said Popplio before she and Litten quickly ran to the stairs. Gardevoir was about to attack the two with Shadow Ball, but was stopped by Joltik's String Shot.

Litten and Popplio ran even deeper through the stairs before finding themselves in a dark floor. "L-Litten, It's dark in here." Popplio said in a scared tone while trying to follow Litten who then response. "There is nothing to be afraid off. I'm here with you." She smiles at the response before she walks with him while being close to him. Then they saw what seems to be a bright light in a room far in front of them. They went running to the room and saw a Jirachi floating in the room, she was sleeping in mid-air, creating the soothing light. When Jirachi heard them walking in, she then woke up from her slumber before looking at the two. "Ah, I see you two have completed your journey walking through the dungeon. I have to congratulate you two and gifted both of you with one wish for you two, just one for both of you." She explained in a sleepy tone before yawning. "Alright, it's your chance, Popplio." Litten whispered. Popplio was about to say her wish but then she heard something from outside the room up the floor where they are at. It's the screaming of pain from her friends that are desperately fighting for her.

For some odd reason, Popplio kinda feel uneasy and a feel regret for letting her friends suffer just for her. She then thought about what she wish for before she said. "I wish... for 3 wishes!" The wish made both Jirachi and Litten gasped in shock. "Oh my goodness, that's an unusual wish, but I might as well grant it." Jirachi said before she uses Wish so Popplio can have 3 wishes. "But, why do you want 3 wishes, Popplio?" Litten asked, she giggles a bit before she said. "Alright then, I wish my illness that makes me can't produce babies are gone and healed!" "Your wish is granted." Said Jirachi before she uses Wish again to heal Popplio, she can feel herself much more refreshed before saying. "Thank you! My next is to bring all my friends that were fighting for me to be brought here." "Your wish is my command." Said Jirachi before she then uses Wish again to bring all of her friends into the room, they were all groaning a bit while looking around the room.

"Huh? Wh-Where are we?" Pikachu asked before they saw Popplio and Litten near them. "Popplio! Litten! Did you guys found Jirachi?! Are you finally healed?!" Eevee asked inn worries. "Yeah. In fact, she is right here." Litten said before pointing at Jirachi who is floating in mid-air. "Popplio? You only have one wish left. What will your last wish be?" She asked. "Hmm... my final wish... Hey Litten? How about you do this instead?" Popplio offered which made Litten jumped in surprised. "Huh? Me? Alright then. The final wish..." Litten thought about it for a bit before he finally decides what he wishes for. "I wish that we all can live in a faraway forest that's full of peace and plenty enough foods for all of us." "That's your third and final wish." Jirachi said before she uses Wish again and this time they all got teleported towards a really big forest full of tall trees and it's very peaceful. The group looked around the forest, amazed before they starts running around their new home. "I guess this is where we will be staying for now on. Ready to start a new life, Popplio?" Litten asked before holding Popplio's flipper. "I'm ready as I could ever be, Litten." Popplio answered while smiling at him.
