Suguha was let inside a massive room by Kikuoka's assistant and she stared around in awe at the size of the room, and slightly in fear as she was alone, or was she?She turned around to see a girl with shoulder length orange-brown hair sitting by herself and eating an orange. She seemed to be around her brother's age, if not older than him. Suguha gently walked towards the girl and when the latter's face met her own, the smile adorning her beautiful face vanished. She held her orange closely to her chest and sized her up. Suguha sensed a sort of animosity from the older girl and balled her fists.
"Who are you?"
"M..My name is K..K..Kirigaya Suguha", she stuttered.
"I don't want to talk to you. You can play with the toys over there", she pointed to an alluring toy box which was bound to make any child its vicious hostage. That was the only interaction the two had for the entire day. Suguha had already begun to hate the older girl as she acted like a snobby upstart, but how long would she be able to handle her?
Suguha immediately shifted her attention towards the thick glass that showed her older brother as well as the other girl's older brother. For a period of almost six hours, she tried to eavesdrop her brother's conversation, but she failed each time. Eventually, the five year old girl gave up and turned her attention to the older girl.
"What is your name?", she asked the girl, and expected the latter to turn away.
"Something that you will never use in your life", she spat venomously with a frown on her face.
A woman in her late thirties came through their door and weakly smiled at the girl which she returned with the same energy. She walked towards the woman and before leaving, slowly turned to face Suguha.
"Asuna", she pouted and blinked a couple of times. "That is my name"
Suguha did not smile, but weakly waved as she left and she swore she could see a ghost of a smile adorning Asuna's pretty face.
Suguha turned back to try and decode her brother's conversation with the other boy, but miserably failed. Giving up, she shifted her attention to the box of toys and hummed a rhyme.
"Won't be too bad, would it?"
Meanwhile, Kouichirou and Kazuto had a rather interesting conversation. They found out that even though by behaviour they were vastly different, they struck common notes in various beliefs.
"How long have you been here, Yuuki-san?", Kazuto asked the older boy who shrugged his shoulders.
"I have lost track of time, Kazucchi", he sighed and softly chuckled. Kazuto frowned at the nickname he was given but did not seem to mind it for some reason.
"How long do you think we will be here?", he continued and Kouichirou's smile widened - but it was rather sickening to look at unlike his usual pleasant smile.
"A very - long - time", he chimed and ruffled Kazuto's hair.
12 Years Later
Suguha strutted across the corridors of her institution which was a high school as well as a college combined together. The reason? Owing to MANY changes such as puppet president and politicians, and extreme anarchy for the past decade, half of the institutions were either shut down, or were transformed into hospitals. To prevent the younger generation from joining thr anarchists and the corrupt underworld mafia, a more strict education regime was set up MUCH to everyone's dismay.
Why did she strut? She was the student leader of her batch of course, she did have the right to do so.
Did she let the power go to her head? Perhaps.
