"Kuya, I'm on the way I swear. I'm at the elevator already!" sabi ko sa Kuya ko kasi kanina pa niya ako kinukulit dahil baka late nanaman daw ako sa family brunch namin.

Nang nakababa ako sa basement pinuntahan ko na sasakyan ko para maka-alis na ako, maaga pa naman kaya hindi pa naman siguro ako late.

Wala talaga akong sa mood pumunta ngayon, hindi dahil tinatamad ako o ano pero kasi ang tagal ko na rin hindi nagpupunta roon, oo galing lang ako doon nung isang araw, but to actually stay there for hours feels weird.

I arrived at our house in twenty minutes since it's still early and there was no traffic. I sighed before I turned off the engine of my car and got out of it.

Naglakad ako papunta sa gate para pindutin yung doorbell, in-open naman agad ng guard yung gate. "Ma'am ipapasok yung sasakyan?" tanong niya

"Hindi na po, Kuya. Thank You!" I said and smiled at him, dumiretso naman na ako sa pintuan.

I went inside and I was greeted by Claudia sitting on a couch watching some cartoons on the tv, she saw me and immediately ran to me to hug me.

"Ate! I miss you!" Nag-squat ako to reach her level. "I was just here last Friday, Claudia," I told her.

She let go from the embrace and held my hand and we went to the couch. She was telling me stories that I can't keep up because she talks way too fast, I was distracted by a door opening from upstairs, I looked up and saw Ate Emma.

"Thalia! OMG!" She shouted when she saw me, dali-dali siyang bumaba at hinintay ko siya sa may hagdan.

"I miss you, Thalia!" She said and she hugged me.

It's been a year since I last saw her, since it's either she's busy with her business or she's traveling.

"I miss you too, Ate!"

"Wow, hindi ka late ah," Rinig ko na may nagsalita sa likod ko and it was Kuya Travis!

I let go from Ate Emma and faced him, "Hatdog ka, Kuya!" sabi ko sa kanya.

"Baka gusto niyo akong tulungan mag-luto," He told us, Ate and I looked at each other and laughed, "Alam mo Kuya, malaki ka na, alam mo na yung tama at mali kaya ikaw na kaya mo na 'yan," I told him.

Niyaya ako ni Ate Emma sa kwarto niya para mag catch-up kami sa isa't isa. "So you have a boyfriend now or what?" tanong niya agad pagkapasok namin sa room niya.

Ganon pa rin kwarto niya, walang pinagbago, it's still the same as her room when we were in College.

"None, I'm single as fuck, ikaw ba?"

She smiled before answering, "I'm currently dating this guy named Enzo, and yeah we've been only dating for a year," She answered. "You know I can set you up with guys, promise no fuckboys!" She added.

Umiling na lang ako sa suggestion niya, "No need, Ate, and besides I love being single and also I have a crush so no biggie," I told her and laid down on her bed.

Natawa siya sa sagot, "Crush? Ano ka bata? Hoy, twenty-seven ka na, crush crush amputa," Nabato ko siya ng unan sa sinabi niya.

"Come on, just one date! Pagbigyan mo na ako, Thalia, I'll fly out again, after a month." pakiusap niya.

I rolled my eyes at her, "Fine, but one date only ah," She nodded.

We heard a knock on the door and she opened it, "Ates, kakain na raw po," Sabi ni Claudia, bumangon na rin ako sa pagkakahiga, I sighed before going out of the door.

Almost everyone is there at the dining room, kaming tatlo na lang ang kulang. I sat in between Claudia and Ate Emma.

"Wow, wala akong katabi ah," Sabi naman ni Kuya Travis.
