(A/N) This story is a school project. This story is based on the anime RWBY, and I do not own that, so yeah. This entire story will be in Carter/Jaunes P.O.V. I hope you enjoy reading it!

Darkness was all around me. unfathomable emptiness with no shred of light breaking through. I was floating, with no memory of how I got here. The last thing I was able to remember was going to get groceries with my sister, Storm Hall.

"Greetings Carter Hall!" an extremely loud voice boomed all around me.

I whipped my head around in all directions, frantically searching for the source of the voice. I found it to be a small, floating orb of golden light. "What happened to me?" I asked, "and what are you?"

The golden orb of light chuckled before shifting into the form of an old man. "To put it simply, I am the god of this multiverse, I rule above all other gods in the separate universes," He told me.

"W-wait, if I'm meeting you, does that mean that I am dead?" I stuttered out my question, not entirely sure if I wanted to hear the answer.

"You are correct, young man," God answered," sadly you died before your due time while protecting your sister with your life."

My eyes widened in disbelief. I couldn't believe that I left my sister all alone back in my world. The memory of how I died rushed back into my brain.

Flashback

Storm and I were heading back home after going to the grocery store. Our parents had asked us to go buy the ingredients for dinner, which we did along with getting some snacks for ourselves. We were walking back home from the stoor when we were stopped by a group of four shadows.

The streetlamp on the side of the road powered on, showing the group of four to be a bunch of rag-tag looking, young adults.  They were wearing baggy jeans that constantly sagged, along with wearing unbuttoned shirts. Overall, they looked like a bunch of thugs you would find in a cliche 90's show.

"Oh look what we have here boys, a cute little girl that we can use to entertain ourselves," the main thug in the front barked, making his three friends chuckle.

"Do you think that I would let you lay your grimy hands on my little sister?" I asked them.

One of the thugs in the back laughed at me before mocking me by laughing out," Oh look here, the little boy is stepping up for his little sis. I'm shaking in my boots."

The group of four kept on laughing until I lept at them. I easily knocked out the guy that mocked me by hitting him with a palm strike to the throat. What the thugs didn't know was that I had six years of martial arts training under my belt. A few perfectly placed strikes later, the other two side thugs were knocked out cold on the concrete ground.

"Well it looks like you were a threat after all, but no matter, I can take you," the main thug sneered as he pulled out a 6-inch switchblade from his back pocket

I ran toward him, hoping to catch him off guard, but my luck abandoned me. He was prepared. Faster than I could react, the switchblade made a horizontal cut down my torso. I managed to grab his head and bring his face to my knee. I felt his nose snap like a twig, and possibly some other things were broken too.

"You're safe now Storm, you don't have to worry about them anymore...," I trailed off, falling to the ground as my adrenaline rush wore off.

"No!" my sister yelled," please don't leave me, big brot-" her words were cut off as my life ended, bringing me to the eternal darkness that was death.

Flashback End

"I see that you remembered," God boomed.

"Y-yeah, I remember how I died now," I stuttered, still a bit shaken up from dying.

"Well, I have some news for you," God spoke, his words catching my interest. "I have chosen you to go help out one of the gods in the other universe," he continued.

"What universe am I going to," I asked, amazed that I would be doing something so important.

"Well, you actually know the specific world I'm sending you to pretty well," he told me," It's the world of RWBY, one of your favorite animes."

My jaw dropped in bewilderment at this new knowledge. I realized that this would be an incredibly interesting journey. RWBY was a world full of magic-like powers, and demon-like enemies. With the knowledge of that world that I had, I could help end the war between Salem and Ozpin quickly.

"You will be taking place of a man named Jaune Arc, along with being turned into a Grimm faunus and getting the semblance called 'Gamer,'" God informed me of the gifts I would get in my new life.

"Thank you so much for this opportunity my lord, I thank you with all of my soul," I responded as I knelt in front of him to show respect. I had read a bunch of fanfiction stories about people with the power called "Gamer", and they all were incredibly fascinating. The Gamer in question could learn at an extremely fast rate, level up, and do things that most mortals cannot. With this power combined with my knowledge of the RWBY plotline, I could pull off some pretty mind-boggling feats.

"You will be sent to Remnant at the time of the Beacon academy entrance exams," God informed me. "Now rise, Jaune Arc, a new world awaits you, go forth and enact my will upon Remnant!" God boomed before a flash of light blinded me.

I sat up on a bed that was new to me,  looking at my hands. My skin was pale, almost grey. I went to the bathroom, and when I looked in the mirror I saw myself.
