Hi, I have a poetry book now, yay!

This is one I came up with.

Tell me that you love me,
And I'll believe for a minute.
Tell me that I'm worthless,
And I'll believe it for a year.

Tell me that I'm beautiful,
And I'll believe you for a bit.
Tell me that I'm ugly,
And I'll believe it forever.

Tell me that you want me forever,
And I'll believe for a while.
Tell me you will prove it to me,
And I'll believe the proof.

Ask me if I'm happy,
And I'll lie to your face.
Ask me why I'm sad,
And I'll cry in your arms.

Ask me if I trust you,
And I'll say 'always'.
Ask if you can trust me,
And I'll say 'forever'.

Ask me to marry you,
And I might say yes.
Ask me why I love you,
And I'll hand you a book
Filled with reasons why.
