Welcome one and all to my mind.
I would like to apologize in advance for the disorganized state of the place. I have always been a slob, but my mind is perhaps the messiest place I know. Had I known I was going to have company over, I would have straightened up a bit and baked a cake.
Well, the cake? Maybe. I probably wouldn't have straightened up, if I'm being completely honest. (I take my slobbery very seriously.)
What you are about to read (I hope) will be some entertaining short stories that have been inspired by writing prompts, whether they have come from a book, a website, or when life presents them to me - you know how life does that some times.
In any event, welcome again. Please be gentle about what you find here. With any luck, there might be some quality freckled across the pages, but for the most part, you're likely going to find rough drafts or only partially formed ideas. If I'm wrong and you find brilliance on every page, do be a dear and let me know. I live for that kind of encouragement.
Conversely, if you find something you hate, then by all means – do be a dear and let me know. It's important for all writers to hear what works and what doesn't from others. If you see something that I've given up on, but would like to see it continue - let me know.
And without further ado, I welcome you to My Brain In Pieces.
