We all came from ashes, that is where we will all return

With your death, Oh Lord Escanor, Lion's sin, Lord of the Sun, night falls on our hearts once more.

Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, your glory always remembered. The burns on the face of your beloved will remind us throughout time of what was lost and is ne'er to be returned.Your soul like the blazing sun, always true to your beliefs and your honor, the same sun that burned it all away

Oh, Lion's Sin, gone but never forgotten, your ashes on the wind breathe life into all. Your glory like the sun, never overshadowed. Your smile on the horizon. Your eyes like the sky itself. Hair the color of desert sand. You, the earth, sky and sun in one, gone in a flash, almost like a trick of the light.

Yet, when we reached for you, with outstretched arms, blazing air was all that remained. Your memory eternal, we see you in the stars, the suns of other worlds.

Is that where you could be? One of these many stars in the night sky? Then, when we lookup, in the dead of night, we see you,

lighting up our sky once more.

We praise our sun,

One last time
