Chapter 2

*the next day*

After a wild night, I walked to Starbucks like I always do to grab my coffee and just then I bumped into one of Calum's friends that Calum was with last night at the restaurant... I was honestly surprised to see him again so soon... I guess he and I must have something in common or that it could be a coincidence...

I pretended to not notice him and tried hiding my face because I was in my hooker outfit from entertaining clients and stuff for my night job and the fact that the client that I was with last night was actually abusive whenever he got drunk and I had a black eye... it's low but as long as I'm getting paid, I'm cool with whatever... I mean... I have to pay bill and stuff so... it is what it is.

"Hey!! You're that girl who served us last night!!" I remembered her from the restaurant... "hey, I'm Michael aka the pizza king. Nice to meet you!" I greeted her with a smile and she smiled back.

"Oh nice meeting you here, Michael." I grabbed my coffee and walked out and after his coffee was done he ran after me because it turned out that I forgot my wallet... I grabbed it and thanked him before leaving even though there is literally nothing left in my wallet. I know right?!... sad but true. Oh well. "Who hit you?!!" I noticed her black eye that she tried to hide with makeup... she just smiled and told me she fell before she ran off.

*at Calum's house*

"Did you get my coffee?" I paused the game on my Xbox before turning around... Michael seemed distracted and so I playfully threw a cushion at his shoulder and he got a shock. "Huh?!" I said "did you get my coffee?" "Oh yeah..." he passed me the coffee before sitting on the couch and he totally zoned out. I have never seen him like that in awhile and whenever he's like that it means that something is for sure bothering him.

"Alright, what is it?." I sat closer to Michael while sipping my coffee and he just kept quiet and so I got even more worried because Michael is my best friend and if something is bothering him then it bothers me as well. Bromance. "Come on! You know you can talk to me about anything." Michael looked at me and sobbed and so I gave him a hug before he starts talking...

"So I bumped into one of the waiters from last night..." and I just looked at Michael while sipping my coffee "she had a black eye and some bruises all over her body." And I immediately panicked and asked him which one and he said Sophia. "Yeah she tried and hid it with makeup but I could tell." And as soon as I heard what Michael had said I ran up to my room and grabbed my phone before calling Sophia up.

As soon as I heard Sophia's phone ring, I answered it because as usual dumb Sophia left her phone in her locker again and so I kept it safe for her. "Hello? Yesi speaking. Who is this?" "It's Calum. Is Sophia with you right now?!" "No? She's not why?" "Okay, let me know as soon as she shows up to work!" "Okay? I will... bye?" I hung up while being confused... since when did Sophia have a new boyfriend? And why didn't she tell me about it?!...

As soon as I slept for like an hour then rushed over to work, Yesi was already waiting for me in the locker room. As usual she's always early because she lives like 6 blocks away and had to catch the first bus or else she would be late.

"Alright, what is it?" "Your boyfriend just called and he sounded furious. He was yelling at the phone when I picked up his call." I got confused when Yesi told me about my boyfriend that I never knew I had. "Quit fucking around. Who called?" "Your boyfriend!!" Yesi handed me my phone back and so I checked it and it turned out to be Calum. "This is not my boyfriend geez! He's just a friend!"

"Anyway, thanks for helping me charge my phone and keeping it safe for me again." "You're welcome dude." I checked my phone and saw so many missed calls from Calum and so I called him up...

"Sophia!! How are you?! Michael told me that you got abused last night... are you okay?!" I was shocked that Calum had called to check on me and so I lied and told him that it was all a misunderstanding and that I was doing okay and that I needed to hang up because my shift is about to start.

I hung up and looked at Michael "dude! She said she was fine and okay..." "well Sophia is lying." "I saw bruises on her arms and she definitely have a black eye!"

I literally told Calum about it but he just ignored me and left the house. I guess he didn't care as much as I do because no women deserves to be treated like that! But oh well. Just as I was about to take a nap, Ashton shows up with the booze and Luke of course... "guys!! Are we gonna party again tonight?!" "Heck yeah!" "DJ Clifford is in the house!!" "My man!"

"I invited Dani over" "ASHTON!!! You know how much I get nervous and stuff around her!!" "Yeah well it's been 2 years since you've gotten a crush on her! Don't you wanna confess?!" "I'm good bro! I don't wanna risk losing her as a friend!!"

"Too late. Thanks for helping us out, Dani" I smirked before leaving her alone with Luke while Ashton and I went out the back to set up the table for beer pong.

"So... you are how?" "Wait what?!" I meant... "how are you?" "Oh! I've been doing great! Oh my god it's been so long since we last saw each other!" Dani gave me a hung and I blushed big time and when she let go of me, I just smiled before going in to grab the other stuff for the party... as it got dark, everything got prepared and all the guests have arrived and so everyone else was partying.

"Oh yeah hey Ashton!!" "Yeah??" "I invited Yesi over to the party." "YOU WHAT?!!" "Oh come on!! Revenge is sweet! And didn't you have a crush on her for a really long time now?! Which is the real reason to why you always go to the restaurant where she works at?!" "Hey!! She's hot as fuck and my dream girl!! Leave me alone!"
