I walked across the street being careful not to step in the puddles. It was raining. As I entered AFK books and records the bell jingled overhead. I headed to the front desk to ask if a book was in. "Hi, I'm looking for a book called Antifragile."
"I'm afraid that's not in I can put it on hold for you in the mean time." I nodded my head. "Can I interest you in anything else."
"No actually I'm okay I'll look around myself." I quickly stopped myself from rambling. I headed to the contemporary physchological section. The books were displayed on a metal cart. I sifted through none catching my eye. I picked up a book called The age of empathy.
"That's an amazing book discussing how psychotic people are deprived of empathy their whole lives and murder people as a result. I may have just spoiled the whole book." I looked up, A short blond girl was standing next to me. She was wearing jeans and a black t shirt and boots. As well as a long trench coat which had a clip on it that should've had a work license. I'm guessing since the clip looked similar to mine she was a private investigator.
"Ah I was hoping to read a filler book, I guess this ones off the table." I said laughing. "I'm Spencer."
"I'm Lilith, but people call me Lila."
"Lilith," He recited "A Hebrew name meaning 'ghost,' 'night monster', or 'storm goddess,'."
"Your Jewish." I questioned
"No I'm an FBI agent he said slightly laughing. I like to think I'm knowledgeable at profiling people based on the origin of their name. "
"Oh, I wasn't excpecting that.
"He looked back down at the book. "Might I recomend a book I haven't told you about, Outlier. I'm gonna stop here because I tend to ramble and get myself into deep shit. I mean more complicated situations.
"I've actually already read it, I enjoyed the concept and really thought it depicted what causes a serial killer to feel a certain way by using very good strong symbolic messages."
"I think it could have been interpreted many different ways by not being specific about the message it's up to the persons mind to interpret it." She said. "Anyways I'll leave you to pick out a book." I wish she wouldn't leave she had a calming essence. She walked over to where the barista was. Ordering a coffee probably. I picked up another book, Anxious for nothing. I read the back it seemed interesting enough to last me until Antifragile was in stock. I payed for the book. I looked over at the counter across from the barista. She was still sitting there. I decided to order a coffee and hopefully strike up a conversation.
"Can I have a black coffee no creamer, she sugars."
"Sure your number is 4."
I sat down next to Lila considering there was only one spot open.

"It seems we have the same order." She said. I raised my eyebrow "Black coffee no creamer 3 sugars. I work as a private investigator. I usually work long hours and never have a consistent work schedule. I bet your used to that though."
"Yeah I'm suprised I'm not being called in right now. We've always got tons of cases at night. People say it's the best time for a killing spree." I said laughing
She looked at me like I was crazy. "You say that so nonchalantly" She said smiling "But I would have to agree, I work in Quantico and often how to come to crime scenes in the middle of the night or early morning. "
"I feel like I'm oversharing, sorry."
"Actully no many serial killers over share about other parts of their lives, not that your a serial killer." God why did I say that. To my relief she smiled.
"So I'm assuming at the B.A.U you've heard about the killing sprees going on in Miami, the unsub is described as tall has bruises from most likely protecting himself, dresses in an almost homeless manner. As well he drives in school buses attracting kids to...." I trailed off
"No I'm not really supposed to talk about confidential stuff like this but your already apart of law enforcemnt. I think the unsub was previously homeless and is resorting to dressing like it. When he was he was probably made fun of by pedestrians and wants to reciprocate those actions. "
"That would explain why he is also described as defensive but probably seems innocent at first glance." She replied. We talked for about an hour. I got a call from Hotch. I had to go back to work. "It was nice talking to someone without being looked at like I was a super genius." I said hastily.
"Any time. You going to be back here any time soon?"
"Probably if work isn't to bad." I said confused why she was asking.
"Okay then I guess I'll see you around. " She said happily.
