Francesca's POV:
We all stood in the rec room. "We're gonna figure out who's the thing." MacReady said. "Let's rush him! He won't blow us all up!" Garry said to the group. Nobody moved. Nobody even blinked. MacReady looked at all of us, waiting for us to rush him. "What have you got in mind, MacReady?" Clark asked. "A little test. Windows, you and Palmer tie everyone down real tight." "What for?" Childs said. "For your health!" MacReady replied. Palmer and Windows were handed a bundle of rope. A scoff came from Childs. "You're not tying me up." "Then I'll have to kill you, Childs." MacReady said to him. He aimed his pistol at Childs. "I mean it." MacReady said. "I guess you do." Childs said back to him.

Then all of a sudden, Clark came at MacReady with a scalpel

Then all of a sudden, Clark came at MacReady with a scalpel. MacReady shot Clark and he fell to the ground. Palmer and Windows' eyes widened and MacReady said "still think I'm not serious?" Nobody answered. Everyone stared at Clark's dead body. Palmer and Windows began to tie us all down. Echo and I were next to each other, Caspian on the other side of her. Windows frowned as he tied me down. "It's ok." I said to him. He nodded and then looked down. MacReady looked at the two dead bodies and said "now tie up Copper and Clark." Palmer stood over their bodies, huffing as he had to tie them up. He wiped some sweat from his forehead and said "this is bullshit, Mac!" "Finish it, Palmer." MacReady replied. "They're dead, Mac!" Palmer seemed more agitated than ever. "Windows." "Yo?" "Tie up Palmer." Palmer sat down next to me and Garry was on the other side of him. Windows knelt down in front of Palmer and began tying him to the couch. "We're gonna draw a little bit of everybody's blood....cause we're gonna find out who's the thing. Watching Norris in there gave me the idea that, maybe every part of him was a whole, every little piece was an individual animal with a built in desire to protect it's own life. You see, when a man bleeds, it's just tissue, but blood from one of you things won't obey when it's attacked. It'll try and survive, crawl away from a hot needle the same." MacReady said.
