Maria Barba

Ch.6

~~ here's a chapter based on Maria past and then a little of the present Maria~~

Allen was standing in front of me. A gun to my head.

"Say goodbye Maria" he said and cocked the gun. I shut my eyes tight waiting for the trigger to be pulled.

"Maria" he said. But I kept my eyes shut.

"Maria" he said again.

"Mi amor" Rafael voice said and I opened my eyes and Allen pulled the trigger.

I sat up in bed breathing hard, sweat rolling down my head.

"Mi amor, are you ok?" Rafi asked me. He's usually grumpy in the morning but he had a concerned look on his face. I swallowed and rubbed my head.

"I-I just had a nightmare" I said.

"Come here" he said and opened his arms. I sighed softly and scooted closer to him and collapsed in his arms. He wrapped his arms protectively around me and I snuggled my head in his neck.

"I love you Maria. I have you back now and I'm not gonna let anything happen to you" he said and I hummed in response, he kept saying soft words in my ear until I fell back asleep.

"Hi Maria Barba.. I'm Charlie." The therapist said shaking my hand.

"Hi Charlie, for the record.. I didn't come here willingly" I said. I'm a little upset rafi and liv are making me go to therapy.

"Well you will see this will benefit you. Now you went through something traumatic in your life.. but before that let's talk about your past. Not really on your childhood. Let's talk about you at SVU when your last name was Esperanza and not Barba" he said and I sighed sitting up in the chair.

"Well, I've been doing this job for a long time. I didn't meet Rafael for a while" I started off saying.

"I am aware that you had some type of relationship with Nick Amaro?" The therapist said.

"Uh yeah, we Uh hooked up once before Rafael came along. We were both drunk and that's really all" I said

Flashback.

Me and nick sat at the bar. Taking drink after drink after drink. I'll admit, I drink like a whale. I was wasted and so was nick.

"What are you doing after this" he slurred at me. I looked at his lips and back at his eyes.

"I'm doing you" I said and laid my hand on his bicep. He smirked and grabbed my waist.

"Let's get outta here" he said dragging me out of the bar and we walked, more like stumbled back to his apartment.

Once we got to his apartment, he pushed me against the wall and kissed me. I pulled off his jacket and grabbed his shirt bringing me closer. His lips left mine and made their way down my neck. He grabbed my legs and holstered me up and I wrapped my legs around his hips and he walked into his bedroom and shut the door.
End of flashback

"It was a one time thing." I said to Charlie and he nodded his head.

"And then you met Rafael and it kicked off from there and you started dating" he said and I nodded my head smiling the day I met him.

Flashback.

I walked beside Rollins and benson. We walked in the court room and a lawyer came over to us. His name was Rafael Barba and man he was fine.
