KH3: Two Worlds, Two Hearts, One Love (Sora X Jamie)

As they, now in their original forms, flew on, Sora tapped his foot and tapped his arm with his finger impatiently while groaning. Jamie, Donald, and Goofy didn't know what to think. Sora then stood up in his chair.

"We should go to the realm of darkness!" he announced.

"No way!" Donald said.

"You can't go there until you get the power of waking," Goofy pointed out.

"They're right, Sora. Without the power of waking, it's a suicide mission," Jamie added.

"But come on! We have to do something! If we don't act, the Organization's gonna win," Sora tried to persuade.

Donald and Goofy were at a loss for words, so Jamie spoke up.

"Sora, I get it. You want to take out Organization XIII. I do too, especially since they want me for my knowledge and the other half of Ventus's heart. But going to the realm of darkness? That's not a smart without the power of waking. And if you got lost in that darkness, I would never forgive myself," Jamie confessed before going behind Donald's seat and looking out the window.

Sora was shocked to hear this from Jamie. He knew that he cared for her and that she cared for him, but he didn't know how much until now. His thoughts were interrupted by Jiminy Cricket hopping on his shoulder.

"Sora, do you even know how to get to the realm of darkness?" Jiminy pointed out.

Sora thought about it then pointed out, getting the Gummi phone out, "Well, Riku and the King do."

"They won't tell you," Donald pointed out.

"Nope, not until you complete your own mission," Goofy added.

Sora looked between the phone and his friends before sitting back down in his chair and letting out a yell of frustration. Then the Gummi phone rang, getting everyone's attention.

"The King?" Jamie, Donald, and Goofy guessed.

"Riku?" Sora hoped as he answered it.

But it wasn't either one, but it was Ienzo.

"Is this a bad time?" he asked.

The four groaned in disappointment then Sora said, "Ienzo."

Ienzo sighed then informed, "So I have some news about Ansem's code and the replica we need for Roxas's heart."

"Oh!" Jiminy chimed in.

"And?" Sora urged him to go on.

"First, the replica. Even is still missing, but we found some of his research. I'll see what I can learn from it," Ienzo explained.

"You've got our thanks," Jiminy bowed.

"As for Ansem the Wise's data, we've discovered a very interesting passage. I'll read you exactly what he wrote," Ienzo continued.

He then took it out and read it aloud.

"'I have discovered three unique hearts inside of Sora. One is Roxas, the first; the second has been with Sora for nearly as long. And the third has resided in Sora's heart for even longer, most of his life in fact. This is a truly astonishing discover. While these hearts have now melded with Sora—grown silent and indistinct—Sora retains the memories of all three. The memories have been compartmentalized—each places in its own "box", so to speak. I surmise the hearts can be awoken, provided that each of them is returned to the box that contains the correct memories. Unite the heart with a memories, and provide it with a suitable body within which it may flourish, and I believe any or all three of these people can be made real again'," Ienzo read.

"Roxas and two more?" Sora asked.

"Who else?" Jiminy wondered.

Sora thought for a minute before remembering Ienzo on the phone.

"Oh. Thanks, Ienzo," Sora thanked.

"Certainly. Take care," Ienzo said then signed off.

"Three different hearts..." Donald remarked.

"One of those is Roxas. The other one must be Ventus. Or would that count as half since Jamie has the other one?" Goofy stated.

"You're gonna believe what Vanitas said?" Donald asked.

"Well, uh, it's kinda what we got to go on," Goofy pointed out then asked, "Sora, do you know who the third one might be?"

"Uh uhh," Sora shook his head.

"'Cause Sora can't count," Donald remarked, making Jamie smile a bit.

"Hey. That's not related," Sora objected.

"But you're still admitting you can't count?" Jamie lightly smirked.

This made everyone laugh at that.

As they continued on, Sora looked back toward Jamie, a little worried for her.

"Hey, guys. Can you steer the ship?" he asked Donald and Goofy.

They agreed and he went to her.

"Mind if I look at your wound?" Sora offered.

Jamie looked at him then nodded, saying, "Sure."

He knelt down to her level, unwrapped the ace bandage, and looked the injury over. With her returning to her regular form, the injury subsided to just a scar over a bruise.

"Well, good news: your wound doesn't look serious. Bad news: that scars gonna be there forever," he said.

"Another one to the collection," she lightly joked.

They laughed a bit as he threw away the ace bandage and she put lotion on it before resuming her original position. He then sat by her, taking a deep breath.

"I'm sorry for what I said. I just wanted to get there to help get the others back," Sora apologized and added, "I also didn't know you cared that much about me."

"It's fine. I'd probably want to do the same thing. Also, I'd do anything for you. I want to make sure that you're safe and going to the realm of darkness would be the opposite of that," Jamie replied.

"I appreciate that. A lot. Seeing you got my back, I know without hesitation that I can put my life into your hands," he told her with a smile.

She returned it then added, "I do the same with you. But it's not just that."

"Then what is it?" Sora asked.

"You remember what Randall said? About sadness and if kids were sad, it'll last longer thus energy would never run out?" Jamie mentioned.

He nodded then asked, "You don't agree with him, do you?"

"No. Of course not...At least, for kids," she replied, making him confused, then she explained, "Back in my world, whenever I got in an argument with someone, it would stick with me for so long that I would feel numb. Like I had no emotion in my body. And I'm afraid if I do that here, then I'll get consumed by darkness."

A tear escaped from her eye as she looked away from Sora. He gently reached over and wiped the tear away.

"I'm not gonna let that happen. Hearing this makes me feel dumb for wanting to go to the realm of darkness without this power. And without it, I wouldn't be able to protect you from that. But I will get it and when we go there, I promise to keep the darkness away from you. 'Cause I wouldn't live with myself if something happened to you too," Sora said.

Jamie smiled and hugged him, which he returned, then she said, "Thanks, Sora. You have no idea how much I appreciate that."

They parted from the hug but stayed in each other's arms until they heard they were coming up on another world.
