Your POV

“I can’t believe that this is happening. My daughter’s all grown up.” My mom said as I was placing my stuff in a box.

“Aww, mom.” I said as I walking up to her, engulfing her little frame in a hug. She hugged me back and patted my back. “You can visit me anytime, mom.”

“I know, but it just feels so different now that you’re so far away from us.” She said with a sad smile.

“You should be proud of her, honey.” My dad said as he was leaning in the doorframe. “Are you ready, Y/N?” He entered my room and carried the last box.

“Ready as I’ll ever be, I guess.” I said. To be honest, I still didn’t wanna move out but need to, for myself and for my ever-loving parents. I wore my sweater and grabbed my luggage.

“Do you have enough clothes?” My mom asked as we were walking towards the front door.

“Yes, mom.”

“How about your medicine. Did you bring them? Did you take your meds this morning?”

“Yes, mom.”

“Snacks? Drinks?”

“I’m pretty sure I brought all the stuff that I needed, mom.” I giggled as I faced her. She sighed before reaching for something in her pocket, a necklace?

“Turn around.” She told me and I obeyed. “This is for you. A remembrance of my and your father’s love for you. I’ve worked in the medical team before and it’s pretty nerve-wracking.” She placed it around my neck, carefully. I looked at pendant and saw that it was a butterfly.

“W-Why?” I was confused because all throughout my childhood, my mother disliked the fact of getting me anything connected to butterflies. Whether it be a piece of jewelry, an outfit, or stuffed toys, she didn’t get me anything. So why now?

“I thought that I should get you this since I’ve taken away one of your favorite things back when you were little. It looks a little bit childish bu-“

“It’s beautiful, mom. Thank you.” I hugged her, tight. Tears started to form in my eyes due to the joy that I felt. “I love you so much, mom.” I said before breaking up our hug and wiping my tears. Pulling my luggage along, I went outside and saw my dad, placing the last box in the trunk.

“Good luck, sweetie.” My dad hugged me and I hugged him back. “We’re gonna miss you.”

“I love you, dad.” I said, breaking up the hug and pulling my luggage before placing it in my car. I went in the car and sat the driver’s seat. Starting the engine, I saw dad in front of the house with mom in his arms. “I hope that you’ll be okay.” I thought before rolling down the passenger seat’s window and waving at them while saying, “Goodbye!”

“I guess I’m ready for a new adventure.” I said to myself as I rolled the window back up and drove away from my parents.

I felt my tears coming back so I decided to turn on the radio to listen to some music. The radio started playing a nice tune, and it calmed me.

The lonely journey to Busan didn’t took too long. However, it was confusing. My GPS kept telling me to go this way but there wasn’t any road. After a while, I noticed that I was just going round and round in circles so I gave up and decided to just ask for some directions. I started to look around for people and I happen to see two guys conversing on the side.

With nervous steps, I managed to walk up to them and say, “Hi!” I stopped as the two incredibly handsome people looked at me. “I-I’m kind of lost. Can you give me directions to this area?” I said nervously as I saw one of them looking at me up and down as if he was scanning me. The other one smiled at me and I swear I’ve never seen something as cute. With his cute doe eyes, brown and soft-looking hair, and cute smile, I swear he looked like a bunny.
