Chapter 19

Jace was debating with himself whether he get a rental car and drive to Riele,s apartment building, but he resisted the temptation. He had a plan and he wanted to stick to it. It was hard to be so close and yet so far. But he knew if he made contact with her now, he could mess everything up and the final outcome could be so much different than what he envisioned and she probably didn't need the stress of him being there while she was preparing for the show.
From what he gathered it was going to be something spectacular.

The who,s who of the fashion industry was gonna be there. Plus Hollywood celebs galore. He was so proud of his girl. Even though they were apart these few years it didn't lessen his respect and admiration for her.

She once told him that he could become her model.
(Flashback)
"I hope you can afford me, Ri, I don't come cheap, " he teased.
"I don't know if I can afford you, but I'll see what I can do."
She smiled and put her arms around his neck.
"Hmm. .I'll hold you to that," he grinned . He lowered his head and kissed her.
(End flashback)

Riele and Mia were lying on Riele,s sofa.. enjoying snacks and watching scary movies.
They had decided that Mia would sleep over and they would just have a girls night.
Mia was currently trying to figure out who the secret admirer was.  Both agreed that it couldn't be Gianlucca. Not flashy enough.
"Probably a fashion journalist or somebody trying to get a pass for backstage." Riele mused.

"I don't think so, " Mia replied.
"Why would it say...I'll never let you again??"
"Maybe you knew this man. Before you came here?

Riele refused to consider the option that maybe it could be her
Ex fiance. No, that would be to dangerous a thought.
