chapter 5: Telling Ben and Leo

Four weeks later 

   

   I  am almost 10 weeks and I'm still not showing at all, but I still have some morning sickness. Me and Ricky have gotten a lot  closer over the last few weeks and he is super supportive he is even taking me to my doctor's  appointment this afternoon.  Me, Adrian, and Grace have still been inseparable like usually which is good I  was scared they would distance them selves from me once  I  found out about  the baby. I haven't  seen Ben at all I am so scared of him finding out he is like my brother and I know  he'll  be really mad. So everytime he calls i make up an excuse to avoid hanging out. Today after my appointment I plan on telling  him and Leo.

"Amy! Ricky is here!" My mom yelled to me.

"Hey Ricky!" I said happily

"Hey Amy! And hey baby!" He said  putting his hand on my belly like he does everytime i see him, although  you can't  feel anything yet.

The whole way to the doctor's  office we danced and sang, like we do all the time. My favorite time being with Ricky is probably when we are in the car together.

We went to the do tor and Ricky  came back  to the exam room with me today we weren't  supposed to have an ultrasound  but mg doctor said that I was very small still  so he just wanted  to check everything out. So he showed us our baby  he said he or she is perfect for being 10 weeks along Ricky never saw the ultrasound in person so he was in awe when he saw it. Then the doctor  let us listen to the heart  beat I  looked  over at Ricky and I  thought I saw him shed a tear or two, although he'd  nerver admit it. The doctor appointment was over now we have to go to Ben's I  told him yestrday that I needed to to talk to him and Leo  so they were waiting for  us.

"Hey Ben  and Leo  this is my friend Ricky" i said

"So we have  something to tell you and I  don't  know how you'll take it." I said

"Ok what  ever it is I can't  possibly  too mad" Ben  said.

"And I  really  have no right to be mad I don't  think." Leo added

"Ok well um.." just as I  was about to say it Ricky  saw me tearing up so he cut me off and grabbed my hand and said "Amy and I  are having a baby." Ben and Leo  both looked at eachother then back at us. "So are you two together?"Ben asked curiously . I let Ricky answer that I didnt want to say the wrong thing.

"Not at the moment but we're really good friends maybe sometime in the near future we will be." He answered that perfectly I thought. "So you're friends that have sex? I need a friend like that. " Ben  said "No you  don't  Benjamin."Leo  quickly replied

"And to answer your question Ricky and I only had sex once." I said.

We stayed for a little while longer but tomorrow  was my first day of high school and I was super nervous about it. Luckily Ricky  offered to pick me up in the morning  and walk me in to school  and to all of my classestomorrow.
