Chapter 12: Past, Present, and Future

Amy and Ricky's phone conversation:

Amy : " hey Ricky do you think that you can watch John for a little bit so I can go out with Grace and Adrian? "
Ricky : "yeah I can. Are you leaving him with me all night?"
Amy : "no we can stop and pick him up before they drive me home. "
Ricky : "are you sure? Its going to be raining out tonight. Why don't you sleep here?"
Amy : "are you sure? I don't want you to feel like you have to let us stay at your place?"
Ricky: "are you kidding? I love when you and John are here."
Amy : "ok well speaking of John he's crying. I'll talk yo you later. Bye."
Ricky :  "ok bye"

Ricky's POV....

Today was the first day back at school for me since John was born. I took off so that I could help Amy as much as possible and so I could work. Now I have work after school.
Ricky: "hey Bunny sorry I'm late there was traffic."
Bunny: "yeah, well good thing this lady came in and offered to help, it was really busy."
Ricky : "some lady just came in and offered to help?"
Bunny: "Well she was looking for you. I told her you weren't here yet so she stayed and helped while she waited."
Ricky : "oh well where is she?"
Nora: "here I am."
Ricky : "oh great."

Nora is my birth mom. She is an alcholic and drug addict. She basically let my birth dad abuse me physically and sexually. We started talking and she wants to stay with me for a while because Bob (my birth father) is getting out of jail and she's scared. She says she is clean but she's said that before. I told her she could stay with me for a few days untill she finds another place to live. I don't want to tell Amy until tonight

Amy and Adrian's phone conversation:

Adrian : "So are we going out tonight? "
Amy : "yeah but we have to drop John off with Ricky first."
Adrian: "ok well I'm gonna go get Grace then we'll come get you."
Amy: "ok bye."
Adrian : "Bye"

Amy's POV...

I gotme and John ready to go and I just started crying. I feel like a terrible mom for leaving my son with his father for a few hours. I have been with him every second of his life.

Grace and Adrian just walked in.
Grace : "hey Amy,  and hey John."
Amy: "hey. Ready to go?"
Grace : "yeah let's go."

We got to the butcher shop and I noticed the lights were still on . Which is weird because its 5:00 and Ricky should be done  working. I was walking up to the apartment and I heard the shower on. So I went in and went to go sit on the couch and that's when I looked over and saw women's clothes on the floor.  I took John and I ran down the stairs crying. I bumped into a woman in the butcher shop but I didn't stop to apologize.
Grace : "what happened."
Amy : "Ricky's cheating on me."
Adrian : "how do you know."
Amy : "there were women's clothes on the ground."
Adrian : "ok well let's go to my house. You and John can sleep over, my mom's a flight attendant so she's never home."
Amy : "ok "

So we went to Adrian's and talked. Grace had stayed there last night after her dad told her to leave.

Ricky's POV...

Nora: "is everything ok? I was walking up and some girl with a baby was running out of here crying."
Ricky : "Amy! "
