~ Intro ~

AAAAAAAAAAAAA. So, I'm finally starting the book. I'm actually so excited for this to start already, because i've been waiting so long for it 🥺🥺🥺so here is the intro to the book, i hope you guys like it :) also keep in mind that this intro takes place right after lights out tour, during summer!

I took a deep breath. I knew that I didn't want to be here, but I had to go. I didn't have a choice. I guess that's just a struggle of having clout.

I ran over to my oldest sister, August. Of course, she's the exact opposite of me. She's the life of the party!

...and I'm not.

August was talking to her best friend, Kio. I decided to walk up to the two.

"Yeah, so basically, we had the idea of just a group of us in the house." Kio said. "Cool, yeah no that sounds fun!"

"Like team 10?" I interrupted.

August just eyed me up and down while Kio facepalmed at my words.

"No, of course not like team 10, Kay were you even listening to the conversation?" August joked.

"No..."

We all laughed at my remark, and then August and Kio went back to their conversation.

"Hey.. do you guys wanna.. are you even?" I tried to get their attention, but I guess they weren't interested. I eventually gave up and ran to the back of the building, and outside onto the shore. The sky was so dark outside, you could practically see every single star up there.

I put in my Airpods and shuffled my favorite playlist. The first song on there was called Born Without A Heart. I laughed, seeing a connection.

"I guess that's kinda' how I feel" I muttered. I began to sing along to the track.

Now you blame me

No, I wasn't born with all these flaws

And that's what made me like this, no

Can you bla-

"Oh hey- are you- am I interrupting something? Because I can go, I-" A voice interrupted.

I turned around to meet the blonde girl standing behind me. "Oh no you're not interrupting anything! I just needed to get away from everybody for a minute. Let's just say I'm not necessarily the party type."

The girl laughed. "Same, it was way too loud back there. I guess great minds think alike right?" She sat next to me.

"Yeah I guess, oh, by the way, I'm Kayla!" I introduced myself.

"Oh, no problem, I'm Alyssa! You can call me Lysa though!" She replied.

"Well, hello Lysa!"

"Hello to you too, Kayla!"

Josh's P.O.V

"Come over here man!" Chase yelled from the balcony. Jaden, Payton, Noen, and Anthony signaled for me to come over.

I ran over to the boys as Chase pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Hey wanna make a TikTok?"

"Sure!" I told him. I hadn't posted in two days, so it's probably a good idea to put something out, even if it's late at night.

He picked the "Jump up Superstar!" Sound and positioned his phone on the balcony.

"You know the dance, right Josh?" He asked me. "Yeah, do you?"

"Yeah, just making sure!" He said while starting a timer.

We did the dance, and he posted the video. Within seconds, his notifications blew up from likes. We decided to make a few more to post for the day.

At this point, the rest of the boys had gone back downstairs. It was just me and Chase now.

"When do you think we'll get back together for tour?" I asked.

"I don't know, we'd have to find a time everyone is free, and I'd have to talk to my manager about it."

"Oh, well I hope we can get together again soon. And maybe even have some girls this time!"

"You wish!" He teased. They both laughed at his comment.

"Well, maybe someday." I broke the silence.

"Yeah. Someday"

I wonder when that day will be.
