I never expected to wake up in the medic room twice in one day, I also didn't expect to see Prince Theo sleeping soundly on the chair beside me.

His jacket was on the ground. He must have used it as a blanket. I draped it over him.

" Well, you certainly left an impression on a prince."

I turn my head and the doctor smiled softly.

" I have your medicine." She shook the bottle lightly. " I never knew that you had such a tolerance against willow leaf. It would have taken me a while to guess that was the ingredient if not for the help from Captain Darius." She giggled and set the bottle down.

The memories of last night came back slowly and I could feel a headache coming on.

"Killing you wouldn't be beneficial to me."

" Do you remember what happened?"

The attack, running around the garden, being tackled, hitting a tree, being in Theo's arms.

" Yes." I laughed nervously.

She performed the standard checkup and asked a few questions. It was odd, I hadn't been to a check-up in years.

" You're free to go." She smiled.

" Thank you."

" Word of advice, don't be stupid."

My eyes snapped up to see her retreating figure disappearing into the backroom. I blinked. No, I'm imagining things, you're still under the influence of drugs.

"Prince Theo has a lot of silent admirers in the castle."

Goosebumps ran up my arm, I slapped my cheeks softly. I would have time to think later but now I needed to return Theo before anyone noticed. I dropped the pill bottle into my apron and touched the flash drive. It was still here.

I bent down and was immediately met with a sharp pain across my torso. It took my breath away.

" Theo, I'll take you to your room." I nudge him gently.

" Your highness," I said a bit louder.

" Hello Captain Darius, of course, Theo would love to learn how to sword fight."

Prince Theo shot up, his jacket dropping to the ground. He seemed disoriented and the moment he realized I was lying, he glanced at my feet.

" You're so mean." He said softly.

I giggled and immediately regretted it. I winched as the searing pain struck against my ribs and lingered.

" Let's get you back to your room. It'll be suspicious if someone comes in and sees a prince missing." I smiled.

He kept his eyes on the ground, " I'm sorry."

" For what?"

He glanced up, " I feel like this is all my fault."

" Don't say things like that, come on I'll take you back."

Getting to Theo's room was surprisingly easy. It was empty in the castle aside from the usual guards stationed in the hallway. Odd. I guess the maids felt too guilty to see me.
