                Taylor’s POV

We held hands while walking down the hallways. We kissed goodbye when we were separated in different classes. We laughed and talked for hours every day. Being with Hayley was amazing.

The whole school knew about us in a matter of days. People would point at us walking down the hallways. I didn’t know if there were any rumors, but I didn’t care. If Hayley was happy, I was happy.

At 12:00 PM, the bell rang for lunch. I got out of my desk and ran out of the classroom. As I ran down the hallway, I hoped to see Hayley standing by the vending machine. And yet, she was.

Hayley was wearing her band logo dress today with her doc martens. She really did look beautiful in anything she wore. It was a gift. Just like her talents. I walked over to her quickly, and began tickling her from behind.

“Tay—Taylor,” she laughed. “Please—please stop!” I did after a minute. Her laugh was so adorable.

I hugged her. “I just really love hearing your laugh. It’s cute.” I kissed her nose.

I swung her around in the air, going in circles. Then, we kissed for a moment. Someone tapped on my shoulder. I looked behind and saw Jeremy standing there, staring oddly at us.

“Oh give us a break please,” I said, laughing.

“I know, I know,” he said, smiling. “But come on. I’m starving.”

We walked to our table and we sat down. Hayley went into the lineup to get some food. When she came back, she handed me her change. “No,” I said, putting it back in her hands. “It’s your money. I’ll just spend it on something useless.” She was trying to give me $15.00. And that was awfully sweet of her, but that’s $15.00. And I don’t know what I’d give her back.

“No, keep it,” she insisted, placing it back into my hands. “It’ll be part of one of your Christmas gifts.” Oh crap. I forgot all about Christmas. It was already December 10th, and Christmas was in 15 days. People would think that would be a perfect amount of time to get someone something. But when you’re in love with someone, you want to get them something special. And I didn’t know what to get Hayley for the holidays.

“Oh right,” Jeremy said, leaning back in his seat. “I totally forgot about Christmas. I mean, I knew it was coming, but I forgot to go shopping for people.”

Hayley looked at him like she was interested. “What kind of people?”

                Jeremy shrugged. “Just stuff.”

“What a great answer,” I said sarcastically. “I’m getting you both gifts.” I already knew what I was getting Jeremy. He was always going on and on about wanting this certain music book that he desperately wanted online. I eventually got the hint that he wanted one of us to get it, so I beat Hayley to it.

“I know right,” Jeremy laughed, eating his food. “Dude, It least take a bite of your pizza. It looks like it wants to be eaten up by someone who really wants it.”

I stared down at the huge pizza down on my plate. My stomach rolled once again. Ugh, it always did that when I stared down at food. “Okay, okay,” I said. But as much as I hated eating, I really did love pizza.
