Kageyama X Reader

Part 2

"What the hell did you do to the king?" Hinata asked worried.

"What do you mean? He seemed fine when he left for the gym." Could it have been something I said? Did he not like the kiss?

"He was daydreaming a lot, and touching his cheek. When he got back for the nurses office he seemed really red too." Daichi explained.

You could see Kageyama walking up behind them with Sugawara and Nishinoya.

"l/n, did you slap him? Where else could he have gotten so red from?" Hinata asked concerned.

"Hinata you dumbass. Just leave us alone. I need to talk to y/n alone right now." Kageyama said as he pushed Hinata out of the way and grabbed my hand pulling me into his chest.

"Damn Kageyama, you really are making moves on l/n right now." Sugawara said jokingly.

"What do you mean? Y/n was the one that kissed me, that's why i was so-"  Kageyama stopped.

"L/N! YOU KISSED KAGEYAMA?" They all said together in shock.

"Why would you kiss him? He's like a grumpy old man!" Hinata exclaimed.

With that I pulled Kageyama away from the group into the equipment room. He seemed nervous. He wanted to talk to me after practice. But now that we're all alone he's quiet.

"I- I like you y/n. And I always h- have. When you kissed me today. I don't know. It just made me realize how much I want to be with you. Ever since you got me into volleyball I've wanted to spend more time with you, you're the reason I love it so much. We've been friends forever and I know you probably don't feel the same way. But I just had to get that off my chest." Kageyama looked at me. Scared for what I might say next. So was I.

                            Kageyama's POV
I'm terrified for what she'll say next. I don't want our friendship to die, but I just wanted her to know how to felt so that maybe me and her could be more than friends.

"Tobio...." my heart fluttered.

"I don't know how to feel about you." my heart stopped.

"I like you. I like being around you I like talking to you. I like when we're together. But I'm not sure if I want to be you with you just yet." I didn't know whether to be happy or be sad. There was still a chance for me. But she said she's not sure.

"This is because of Oikawa isn't it?" Y/n had just gotten out of a serious relationship with that bastard. She doesn't like talking about it so I'm the only one on the Volleyball team that knows. She won't tell me who broke up with who, but all I know is that it was a nasty break up. For weeks after the break up she would come over to my house and we would stay up just talking. She cried a lot, I held her like I would never let go. I've always been there for her, and I was hoping that she would finally see I'm the only one who belongs with her.

She grabbed my hand and gave it a tight squeeze.

"It's not about him, it's never been about him. I don't think I can handle a relationship right now. I really like you Tobio. But if you could just give me some time to get myself mentally stable, I think I could be ready for one."

"As long as there's a chance for me to be with you, I'll take it." I picked her up and held her tight.

After a few seconds I put her back down and she grabbed my face gently, and she kissed me, pressing her peachy soft lips against mine.

Your POV
The kiss seemed to last forever, as if it was in slow motion. I've got to admit, Tobio Kageyama is a pretty good kisser.

"Let's go, Daichi is treating us to some pork buns down by the corner store." Kageyama said started jogging off.

"What? We aren't gonna race? You said your leg was better." I was not about to let that raven haired stick beat me.

"Catch me if you can!" I yelled as I zoomed straight past him.

Kageyama and I are compatible. I know that. If this is how we are going to be together that's how I like it. Me and kageyama can talk about serious topics but also have fun. This is why we've been friends for so long.

My leg was still in pain so I could really run to my full potential so Kageyama easily passed me up. Kageyama was the first to each the store and I was pretty far behind.

"We were waiting for you but you guys took forever... Here." Daichi said handing kageyama a bag with two pork buns.

"TOBIOOOO" I yelled as I jumped onto his back.

"Hey watch it! I have the pork buns." Kageyama handed me bun as he already almost finished his.

"Hey kageyama, why do you have lipstick on you dork?" Tsuki pointed out.

"Oh Kagegama, you really went in to seal the deal. I would've thought you've already done it by now but congrats." Sugawara tauntingly said.

"Actually I kissed him, but he's too baby to actually do it to me." Why did i say that?! I couldn't hold it in.

Without any hesitation I pulled Kageyama away from them and told him to start running to my house.

"Y/N! YOU KISSED HIM AGAIN?" They all screamed.

"YOU COULD KISS ME NEXT TIME IF YOU WANT TO!" Tanaka and Nishinoya both said.

"BYE GUYS SEE YOU TOMORROWWW" I yelled back as Kageyama and I started laughing.

"You know, I could've kissed you if I wanted to, you just read my mind so you kissed me instead." Kageyama said with a wink.

"Oh shut up Tobio, and come here" I leaned up against him with his arm around me and my arm around him. We walked the rest of the way home, Kageyama never fails to make me happy.
