Casey's P.O.V.
what is that noise? why is it so loud? i slowly opened up my eyes and tried to grab my nightstand to help me up, but my hand was met by air and i landed on the ground with a oomf! I heared someone run to the room and when i looked up there stood the one and only, Nick Peterson.
"are you OK?!" he asked with concern written all over his face.
"shh! my head hurts." i said, while my head felt like it was about to explode.
"oh, i have just the thing!" he said while tip-toeing away. i sighed and lie my head back down. Nick came back in holding a glass of water, and two Motrin.
i mumbled a quiet 'thanks.' He just smiled at me.
"wait, so where exactly am i?" i asked cautiously.
"you are at my hotel that i'm staying at for the weekend while working at the bar." he replied happily. I just nodded my head, not wanting to give myself more of a headache. He then, held out his hand for me to take to help me up, i took it and went up a lot faster then i thought i would and almost stumbled forward but he caught me in time. Then he led me to the kitchen.
"so what do you want to eat?" he asked cheerfully.
"ugh, your not one of those morning people are you?" i asked playfully.
He shook his head at me while having this biggest grin plastered on his face and then started taking out some bacon, eggs and bread.
"you can cook?" i asked shocked.
"uhh..." he trailed off shyly.
i just laughed and said "here, i'll help you."
We spent about a half an hour trying to cook the eggs, bacon, and toast, apparently we are both horrible cooks. But, it was definitely fun. We accidently got some yolk stuck to the ceiling, burnt some toast, and got bacon stuck to the wall. When we finally finished, we set out the plates and forks. Scared to take i bite i said,
"you go first"
He took a bite of it and his face was expressionless.
"is it good?" i asked him anxiously.
"it's amazing!" he said with his mouth full.
i laughed at him and then took a bite and spit it out right away.
"OH MY GOD, that is the worst thing i have ever ate! How could you say it's good?!" i said with a disgusted look on my face.
He spit out his food and started rolling on the floor laughing while saying,
"...YOUR...FACE WAS.....PRICELESS...!"
"NICK! That was so mean! Why would you do that?!" i said angrily.
Once he sobered up he finally said,
"you made me try it first." he said with a smirk playing on his face.
i just rolled my eyes not having a good comeback to say. We started cleaning up the kitchen until i remembered,
"wait, where's Jessica?"
"who?" he said confused.
"Jessica, my best friend that was with me last night. She has brown hair, blue eyes, about 5'7", she-" i was cut off by Nick saying,
"Oh yeah, I knew that, sorry. She said to tell you one of your friends came to pick her up. Her name was.. Hayden or something?"
"It was probably Hadley she's our best friend." i said with a smile. "anyway, how exactly did i end up here?"
"umm, do you remember anything from last night?" he asked me uneasily.
"yeah, meeting you.. dancing with Jessica, drinking, and passing out. That's about all i remember."
"hmm, well how about this; if we ever see each other again after tonight then i'm meant to tell you and if not, then you'll never know." he said with a small smile. i couldn't even think of going on with knowing i'll never see him again. I've only known him for a day and i'm already starting to get attached.
"we should play a game!" Nick said excitedly.
"what kind of game?"
"well, i don't know barely anything about you and we've been hanging out for like.. a day now!"
"well what do you wanna know?"
"Tell me about your friends and family. Like what's your family like? Do you have any siblings?" he asked eagerly.
"well, you first"
"hey! that's not fair, I asked you first! But, since i'm a gentlemen i'll go first..hmm, let's see.. OK, well I live for football, i want to play big when i'm older, i'm the captain and quarterback for my team. I live with both my parents, and I have two little sisters. Boring, right? Now your turn" he said with a smirk.
i smiled and said, "umm, my families really close. I live with my dad and younger sister. My mom left us a few years ago, so i don't see her. My older brother's in his freshmen year of college so he comes as often as possible. And my dad just got a job as a coach for a high school team." i took a small breath after my rampage and when i looked back up at Nick his expression was not what i was hoping for.
"i'm really sorry Casey, i shouldn't have asked." he said sadly.
"what, why? Oh! Because of my mom? No, i don't really care she was a heartless woman that didn't care for her children. I'm over it." i said awkwardly.
I slightly chuckled, thinking i just went off about how my mother left us when i was 14. That must've really been awkward for him. When i looked back up at him i realized he was waiting for my response.
"Oh! What'd you say?" i asked sheepishly.
"i was wondering if you wanted to go home, i still have to work. But, my friend is also here and he's leaving in 2 hours if you want to go home." he said, i swear i heard a hint of disappointment. I just shrugged it off and agreed to his offer considering i have no ride home.
I was now all packed up and ready to go home. I was really worried that i would never see Nick again in the future, just the thought scared me. I walked over to where Nick was standing. Next to him was a guy that looked about Nick's age. He had wavy, styled, dirty blonde hair with big green eyes. I walked over to him as Nick said,
"Casey, this is Drew. Drew, this is Casey."
"Pleasure to meet you Drew."
"The pleasures all mine Miss. Casey"
I smiled at him until it soon became an awkward silence. Nick broke the silence by saying,
"Casey, are you ready to go?"
"yeah, i am. Thanks for taking care of me Nick. It was so nice to meet you."
"yeah, i hope to see you in the near future" he smiled at me as he said the last part. I looked at him for a long time trying to memorize his smile, until Drew told me it was time to leave.
Drew and I walked down to his car which was in fact a really nice car if i do say so myself.
"This is your car?" i asked amazed.
"yup, she's all mine."
I laughed slightly as he said that.
The car ride home was actually really fun. Drew was really funny and always trying to say things to try and embarrass Nick. But i would always feel a slight disappointed knowing i will never see him again. Once Drew came near my house he sobered up from his laugh attack that he was having on something funny he said, I swear that kid is crazy.
"wait, you live here? I live around this neighborhood! That's so cool, maybe we'll see eachother around!" he said excitedly.
"yeah, that'd be fun. Well thank you so much for the ride. I hope to see you soon. Bye Drew." I said, while thinking that was the last time i'd ever see them.
