Detective Story

"It was a cold, dark night on the 28th of November, 2014. The Smith family was sleeping when a loud thump woke up the father. He got out of the bed to check out what it was. He walked down the stairs, went outside and saw a dark figure in the distance. 'Who's there?' he yelled. The figure backed into the shed and the father followed. He turned on the light, and the last thing he saw was a man reveal his dagger and repeatedly drive a long, sharp knife into his chest, just above the sternum. He let out a loud scream, which woke up his two sons.They ran out to see what was going on, but it was too late. The two sons were shot from the roof. The murderer then climbed over the fence and fled from the scene," said the witness, Josh Auditore.
'Your recount matches what we could gather from the security footage,' said Detective Scott. 'Do you have any idea who the murderer might be? Maybe someone with a history of conflict with Mr Smith?'
'The murderer was wearing a hood, so I couldn't see any facial features, but I could give you a list of all the possible suspects if you like.'
'That would be helpful, thank you.'
As Josh proceeded to write the names of the suspects, Detective Scott called his partner, Lisa Miller. He told her everything he had gathered from the witness and security footage.
Josh finished writing down the names of all possible suspects, and any other information that could be helpful. He handed the list back to Detective Scott.
'Thank you for your help, Josh. If you have any more information, give me a call.' Detective Scott scribbled his number on a slip of paper, handed it to Josh, and left.

Detective Scott was a tall, thin man, with black hair and green eyes. He was dedicated to his detective work, and was willing to spend years on a case if he had to.
Lisa Miller called him and said, "I found a guy from the list who knows something. I'm bringing him in for interrogation now."
"K. I'll be there in a few minutes."
