Bonus Chapter 2

Being a Friday I decided to give the kids a day off to spend some time with me, I know right crazy. Placing the last pancake on the large stack before placing an egg white veggie omelette on the side, laughs and giggles fill the house, Laura running into the kitchen with a ball in her hand as Luca and Alex ran in chasing her, "Mommy!" She screams laughing as she hides behind me. Somehow since last night's dinner I haven't been able to snap myself out of sadness, Alex looking down at the kids, "hey, can you give me and your mom 2 minutes and I will be right out?" He questions, nodding their heads before running out. Sighing before looking up at me, "Gattina" he says, looking over to him, "what?" I question. Gently stroking my arm, "I don't like this" he says, "look Alex it's not like he was lying, I'm sure many women can give you a child of your own" I say looking down, closing his eyes for a moment, "stop saying that" he spits. "Those kids out there are mine and yours, blood or not we would do anything and everything for them, the best things that happened to both of us I don't get your point " he spits, "what did I say when you told me you couldn't get pregnant?" He questions angrily making my eyes teary, "I told you I don't care" he spits. "I know" I croak, "but Alex I've asked you time and time again why do we have to see Luciano I know I'm your wife part of that means I must meet your disgusting business partners who have absolutely no respect for me" I croak, "obviously the only reason they don't make rude remarks is because they fear you but in reality I'm just a piece of shit to them, nothing more than just Mrs Giordano " I say In hurt, "mommy?" We hear making me sigh. Looking down, hearing the footsteps as I try to quickly wipe the tears away. "What's wrong?" Laura frowns in sadness, "nothing my angel" I try to smile, "mommy will be out in a minute" I say, not wanting to move from her spot, "please angel" I say. Making her way out. Alexander sighs, grabbing me for a tight hug. Pulling away. "Gattina for how long have we been together?" He questions, "9 years" I whisper, "exactly, nearly a decade, have I ever made you feel like you weren't enough or treated you that way let alone even bring up the issue of having a baby?" He questions, shaking my head no, "then please Gattina, stop entertaining people who aren't part of our family, it's OURS so it's not for anyone to understand but us" he says pleadingly, nodding my head, gently wiping out my tears, "now let's wipe these off, you too beautiful my queen" he says sweetly making me smile. Pulling me in for a kiss, "ti amo" (I love you) I smile.

Spending the rest of the day with the kids and Alex, being as overly protective as he is he decided to book the entire Amusement Park out. Going on every ride as the kids enjoyed some candy and some junk food. I would be lying if I said we lived a hard life, it is one filled with luxury but we always try to teach the kids to be grateful, I am more than proud of the little people they are growing into.
