Well I tried to tell you so.

But I guess you didn't know, as I said the story goes.

Baby, now I got the flow,

'Cause I knew it from the start.

Baby, when you broke my heart,

That I had to come again, and show you that I'm real.

Return of the Mack by Mark Morrison - a song that Shéyaa had favored for years blasting from his in-home speakers as he continued dancing to it around his room. Getting ready for the day but also unpacking the remaining two boxes in the corner of his room.

The Joseph family that already moved out of their new home and into their new place that was across the city and out of the slumps. It only being their first week since the family have adjusted themselves into a new place and they were completely loving the new environment.

The brown-skinned being the one to pursue this goal ever since his firstborn, Kamari, was born into the corrupted world they lived in today. Thinking it wouldn't have been a good thing for his kids to live where danger was lurking beyond every corner - only wanting to give the best and be the best that his kids would ever ask for.

Besides the, sometimes, smart remarks his kids would give him due to them replicating his personality as they kept growing. But all in all, they were some overall good kids and he loved them with his whole mind, body, and soul.

'I would die for these lil' niggas,' he would say every day of his life as he looked over them. Either they were playing with their toys he would buy them on occasion, interacting with his mama, sleeping, or overall annoying him to no end and giving him shit, he still and will always love them.

Shéyaa looked away from the mirror as his favorite song kept playing, ready to belt out the lyrics loudly before jumping out of his skin at the scene in front of him.

His kids - or more specifically, Rhian and Ashaad - were currently jumping up and down on his mattress to the song playing. But what really scared him was that he didn't even hear them make their way inside his room.

But when Rhian placed her hands on her knees and began to jump around a certain way...

"Rhian! You better stop tryna' throw ass like you know any better, lil' girl. I ain't playin' with you." Shéyaa seethed and watched the little girl quickly stop what she was doing and sat down on the bed in silence.
