Kailan
I wonder what that was all about... I step off the elevator, thanking God my condo isn't too far from the elevator. Sighing of relief once I unlock my door, I set my Panera bag down on the island. I walk to my room to see Cali gnawing on my Louis Vuitton slippers.

"Not my Louis slippers Cali!" I shriek as I pry them from her teeth.

My jaw drops when I see half the fur on the carpet. I'm really on top of putting all my shoes up before leaving for work. I'm too damn tired to care at this point. I'll just have to get a new pair.

"You ready to eat Cali?" I ask, while she wags her tail in response.

Going into the kitchen I pour her food & water into her bowls. She quickly finishes & disposes her waste onto the training pads. I pick her up & place her into my bed. She falls asleep while I take off my scrubs getting ready to shower. I hop into the shower, squirting some Dove soap onto my loofah. Normally, I would've brought my speaker into the shower, but I'm just trying to get in & out. Once I'm done showering I eat, then brush & floss my teeth. I get under the covers naked because my body won't let me sleep without clothes. I've always slept naked; nothing new.

"Thank God I'm off tomorrow." I whisper finally closing my eyes.

*oontz oontz oontz* A vibration & loud music come through my bedroom wall. It's so intense that it wakes Cali up. Next thing I know, she's barking.

"This is effed up!" I quietly yell. But me being me I let it continue because I hate confrontation. I hear someone's singing mixed in with the music & Cali's barking. This goes on for about 5 minutes before I start knocking on the wall to get them to stop. Almost instantly the noise stops. Cali settles down as I start to nod off. Knocking at my door startles me.

"Open tha fuckin' doe!" They yell still knocking.

I scurry to put my robe on as Cali starts barking again. I get to the door, but before I open it I look through the peephole. A handsome pissed off man is at my door.

"Who is it?" I question.

"Mane open dis' fuckin' doe!".

"I- I was getting my robe on sorry" I whisper.

"Control yo' loud ass dog or I'a do it for ya!" He threatens.

"But you're the one with music. She didn't start barking-" I explain before I'm cut off.

"Imma singa' & I ain't gon' let shit stop my creative process. Den' yo ass had da' nerve to knock. Just don't let da' shit happen again hea'?" He asked, well he didn't really ask he warned.

"Y-yea o-ok. Sorry about the noise." I couldn't stop stuttering for some reason. He towered over me at about 6'2, while I just barely made 5 feet. He was medium skinned, with tattoos all over. I couldn't pinpoint his accent, but he definitely wasn't from Chicago.

"Glad we onna' same page." He scowled walking off into his condo.

I close & lock my door heading to my room to see Cali knocked out. I was so mesmerized, I didn't notice she stopped barking. Letting my robe hit the ground, I get under the covers & start to nod off. I'm out for a good ten minutes before he's singing again.

"Whatever." I mumble as I tune him out. Eventually all that can be heard throughout my condo are Cali & I's light snores.
