A small amount of time had past before Kyungsoo emerged from his room.
The lonesome clock hung, colourless, on the closest wall, ticking loudly as Chanyeol and Jongin conversed with each other on the couch. The passing clock aided the sun, yellow shapes crawled across the smooth flooring, bringing light into the shadows.
The awaited man grumbled quietly to himself, emerging from the hallway, as his feet shuffled across the fake wood floors, reluctant to start another working day.
Unaware of the blonde's presence, he walked into the living room, collapsing into a chair, and turned on the television with a tap of the remote, screen lighting up with a muted hiss.
Kyungsoo sleepily glanced towards the couch from his armchair. He seized up, eyes flying wide in surprise.
"Chanyeol!" He jumped, looking wildly towards the unexpected, foreign man.
The blonde quietly giggled to himself, hidden behind his hand, whilst the room was filled with Jongin's hyena-like chuckles.
"Oh my god, hyung!" Jongin squealed, gasping for breath.
Kyungsoo's face burned up, turning a vibrant red, in embarrassment. He speedily brought his hands up to his face, hiding the ruby flush.
"It's not that funny." Kyungsoo grumbled, pouting.
In retaliation, the raven brought a singular hand down, to sharply slap at the laughing man's arm. Jongin shrieked in response, rolling away from him.Kyungsoo stood up, rather gracefully, with a sigh, and jerked his head towards the kitchen.
Chanyeol understood, nodding as he quickly rose to his feet.Walking past, the blonde pushed at Jongin's head, sending the, still laughing, boy into the seat pads.
Looking back up at the leaving boy, his socked toes patted against the vinyl, following the recovering elder.
" 'm sorry, hyung. I didn't mean to scare you." Chanyeol said, staying back to stand behind him.Kyungsoo smiled to himself, spinning his head over his shoulder to look at the guest.
"It's alright, Chanyeol. I've been reacting rather extreme lately, so you'll have to bare with me." Kyungsoo informed, brushing his black hair out of his eyes.
The blonde strained his neck to observe what he was doing; from his height, he could see the older's fingers working quietly, preparing himself a drink.
Turning around, with a new, thick, cream-coloured mug, he looked up at Chanyeol expectantly.
So both Kyungsoo and Jongin have been acting on edge. It was safe to assume that it was the same reason. They were scared.
"So what is it?" Kyungsoo asked, snapping Chanyeol out of his existential thoughts. "You never turn up so early!" He laughed gently.
Chanyeol brought a hand up to the nape of his neck. Stalling. He opened his mouth, and yet, no sound came out.
Scratching at the base of his hair he tried to order his thoughts in the most non-suspicious way possible."I had a dream about school." The blonde lied.
Kyungsoo hummed.
"But I saw this boy from the year above in it, and I can't seem to remember his name. I came here because I just knew you would know!" He explained, anxious."Ah!" Kyungsoo squeaked, understanding. "Well you know what's got to happen now! Give me your best description!" He smiled.
It shocked Chanyeol how exited Kyungsoo was, watching him move something behind him and lifting his body up to sit on the dark kitchen surface.
He looked up, interested, awaiting Chanyeol's words.
The latter cleared his throat, leaning back onto the hard surface, thinking back to the watcher's story.
"Well... he had long black hair that was constantly covering his eyes. He was in the year above and never spoke. He'd walk pretty quickly through the halls to escape the... people who picked on him."
