Y/N's POV:

1 YEAR LATER

I nuzzled into Ruel more as we watched the lady fall off the board into a rip,

"Yikes" Ruel said under his breath as I tensed up as the lifeguards tried to save her.

We were watching Bondi Rescue and about 1am. Sitting here in our room,

you've probably wondered what has happened.

Ruel moved out of his home as well did I, 

Nenè unfortunately passed away from old age so it hasn't been easy,

 And now Ruel and I are living together in the CBD of Sydney in a luxury apartment overlooking all the tall skyscrapers.

Over the year we've had fights, cuddles, made love, kissed, cried, ranted, laughed.

Basically all the emotions and actions,

I look at Ruel and see him looking down at me with a boyish smirk on his face, 

his green eyes gazing upon me.

He got up untangling himself from me as he switched on the lights,

"I got something for you." He said as he walked into our wardrobe.

He walked back out holding something behind his back, 

he stood at the side of the bed grinning cheesily at me,

"What is it?" I laugh at his randomness,

he pulls out a green velvet box from behind his back and smiles at me nervously,

"This is just a promise ring but I hope you'll choose to wear it.." He says shyly,

he opens the box revealing a gorgeous gold ring with two little heart gemstones on it,

my birthstone,

"Ruel I love it!" I say as I break the tension in the room,

he chuckles and gently pushes the ring on my left ring finger.

I kiss him and we both settle down falling into a deep slumber.

TIME SKIP (3 WEEKS LATER)

"Heyy!" My best friend Gloria says as she embraces me,

"Hi! I've missed you so much!" I say pulling away as we sit down at a table,

"Woah, what's that on your finger? You didn't tell me?" She says pointing at my ring,

"Oh! It's just a promise ring, my boyfriend gave it to me a few weeks ago." I smile,

"Who's the lucky guy?" She asks winking at me,

"You can't tell anyone this except for some of our friends, okay?" I say,

"Woah, holy shit. Okay" She replies,

"I'm dating Ruel.. The singer." I say quietly,

Gloria covers her mouth as her eyes widen,

"What the fuck?! No way, no way?!" 

"Yes way!" I say as I show her a photo,

Gloria and I get into a conversation while sipping coffee.

After we finish we go our seperate ways,

"Bye Glor!" I say while giving her a quick hug,

"Bye y/n/n!" She says while waving.

I get to my car and drive to our apartment to see Coco's car parked in the car park. 

I get into the elevator and make it to the 21st floor, I walk over to our apartment and slowly open the door to see Coco and Ruel looking at his phone,

"That's the one, right there!" She points at his screen,

"You sure?"

"Heyy!" I walk in and give Ruel a kiss on the cheek and Coco a hug. I watch as Ruel and Coco give each other a look while Ruel quickly turns his phone off,

"Well, I better get going." Coco says picking up her bag, "See ya brother, bye y/n" As she leaves,

"What were you guys talking about?" I say as I lay down on the couch,

"Umm." Ruel says, he's trying to hide something from me, "Family things." He says quietly,

"Oh, well if you're struggling with anything you can always talk to me." I give him a warm smile as I go through my emails.

Ruel's POV:

She's too good to me honestly,
