I turned off the TV, turned off the air conditioner, moved around all the rooms in the house, built walls, silenced the family, neighbors, who lived in the neighborhood and the city, then the world but to no avail, the voices were in my head.

أغلقت التلفاز , أطفأت جهاز التكييف , تنقلت بين غرف البيت كلها , شيدت جدراناً عازلة , أسكتُّ الأهل , الجيران , من يسكن بِالحيّ والمدينة , ثم العالم لكن دون جدوى ... كانت الأصواتُ في رأسي.
