Normal: You
Bold:Dixie
Italics: Charli

Pain rushed through my body as i took another punch to the jaw. Everything was hazy and i couldn't focus on what was happening. All i knew was that i was pinned under the familiar face of Chase Hudson taking his punches to my head, and i was surrounded by people i couldn't make out. There was a slight ringing in my ears that was only getting louder the longer i endured this torture, and i could hear shouts and screams coming from all around me. Another blow to the temple and everything became increasingly blurry, and the ringing was unbelievably loud. Again and again, a bit more of my consciousness faded as his fists met my skull, until the familiar deafening scream of Charli broke out, and suddenly she was in my sight, tears streaming down her face as she tried to push Chase off of my almost lifeless body, but she wasn't strong enough. The next blow was the worst, striking me right in my temple and almost knocking me completely out. Suddenly I heard sirens of what I assumed to be the police, or some type of authorities. Chase was quick to jump off me, and he sprinted away, followed by his boys.

I was gasping for air at this point when Charli kneeled down next to me, panic written all over her face.
"Please, just, just keep in there Y/N. Please. For me." I nodded slightly, wincing because of the movement. I weakly held up my hand and noticing this Charli slipped hers into mine.
"C-Charli?" I stuttered as my eyes started to close. She wiped her tears from her eyes and nodded.
"Chase, he, he doesn't, he doesn't deserve you." I whispered. Charli chuckled while fresh tears spilled out her eyes.
"Why is it, when you're half-dead, you are worried about me?" I smiled softly hearing this, and began to lift my head and push my self up.
"See? I'm not even close-" And that whas when the pain hit me. I groaned in pain and fell sideways, almost onto into Charli's lap. She adjusted me so my head was resting in her legs and ran her fingers through my hair.
"Just stay still Y/N, you need to rest." I just nodded and closed my eyes, enjoying the feeling of Charli's delicate fingers running through my long hair.

A Day Earlier

"I-uh, um, i'm sorry." The two of us were standing up facing each other in her dining room, utterly shocked about the recent event.
"No, uh, i started it. I'm sorry. You didn't do anything wrong, i'm the one with the boyfriend. Shit, Chase is gonna be so mad."
Just at the mention of his name, my face dropped, and Charli noticed this. She felt bad, honestly, but there was nothing else she could do. We stood in silence for a minute or until she spoke up.
"We can't tell him." Hearing this i looked up, but before i could intervene she cut me off.
"Trust me Y/N, i know what he would do to you if he found out. I can't be the reason he hurts you.' I nodded and smiled weakly, turning around and walking back up the stairs, only turning around at the top to look at charli. She had her face in her hands, seeming slightly distressed. I sighed and opened the door to Dixie's room.

"Have fun down there?" She said while smirking.
I groaned and flopped down on the bed next to her.
"You saw, didn't you." She nodded.
"Fuck. I'm so fucking screwed."
"You really like her, don't you." I nodded softly, burying my head into the pillow. She reached out and patted my back.

Well apparently after all of that, Chase still found out, and that was what lead to this.

I woke up in a room with white walls, and as i looked around i spotted all sorts of machinery. My first guess of a hospital was proven correct when a man wearing scrubs walked in with a clipboard. He is saw me awake and adjusted his glasses.
"Ah, Y/N, i see you're awake."
"How long have i been out for?"
"About three days, your body went into a sort of mini coma, due to the injuries you sustained."
"Coma?! What even happened to my body?"
"You have three broken ribs, a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose." Well that definitely explains why breathing is so painful, i thought to myself.
"Oh, you also have a couple visitors. Should i let them in?" I wiped my eyes and nodded.

I watched the doctor exit out the door, but before it could close a foot slipped between the gap, and a familiar face popped out from behind the door.
