She stood still with teary eyes holding her backpack in her hands. A little smile creep their way up on her face and then they quiver as if she, herself doesn't get the emotion that she was feeling.
Letting go of her backpack, she bring up her hands slowly and touch his face lovingly. Her eyes soft and fragile as the morning dew ready to dribble off in a single touch by a gentle hand.
He looked at her with proud eyes. Those eyes bright as the shining star in a moonless night. The little curve on his lips shows how much gratified he was.
She dusted off the dab of dust on his attire that hold many a great memory, love and commitment. The three stars on his shoulder matches her own.
She couldn't hold it in and gave out a sob and hug him tightly to herself.
He stood still with the smile and proud eyes as if that was the only emotion he could show.
Between her sob, she whispered to herself, "Now I'm you."
And hug him tightly to her breast. He could see her crying, quivering body but what can a Meek shadow do? He wishes to hold her like he used to and wipe those tears off of her red check. But those hands had turned cold. He couldn't touch her lovely cheek with blood so warm.
How can he tell her that he was proud to have a daughter like her!!! Indeed he was proud! But his body had turned cold. He was, but a shadow now..
Between her hikups and tears she slowly let him lose and look at him lovingly again. "I know you are proud of me." She said smiling to herself. "But I wish I could hear you say it again." She wiped aways the tears on the picture with her sleeves. And felt like she could still hear his voice telling her..
I'm proud of you
