~ Alice's POV :.~
I saw the group of vampires zooming at rocket speed towards our property well before they even arrived. Almost as soon as the swinging of the front door sounded, I was at my parents's sides, my golden colored gaze meeting those bright green and bright blue.
"And this is Alice," Carlisle chuckles softly as I eagerly step forward while glancing curiously at the brunette's hair.
"I didn't see that you changed your hair color in my vision, Thalia," I softly murmured, "But it's great to finally meet you and Alexandria in person! I saw good things in store for you both," I smiled gently, then glanced towards the staircase as Emmett and Rosalie appeared on the middle step, "Thought you guys would've been a bit quicker," I couldn't help the teasing tone in my voice as Emmett rolls his eyes unamusedly at me before dipping his head at Thalia and Alexandria respectively in greeting, Rosalie smiling kindly as well.
"Let's go ahead and get you guys settled in, shall we?" Carlisle murmured softly, gesturing for Tanya, Katrina, Irina, Alex, and Thalia to follow him and Esme to the main room. I paused briefly, glancing at the front door in apprehension as I raised an eyebrow confusedly. Sensing my apprehension, Jasper pauses in the hallway alongside me.
"Worried about Bella again?" He murmurs almost knowingly as I quietly sighed before turning away from the door to follow after the Denali's, "She said she has finals this afternoon. I'm sure she'll show up soon. Don't worry too much," Jasper's words are meant to reassure me, I know that for sure, but I shake my head slightly while forcing a slight smile as we headed past the dining room towards the living room where Edward is seated at his piano. It's worrisome because I saw this optional future. I was just hoping that Bella would have made the right choice.
"I hope that you're right." I murmured gently, glancing over at Edward once more as his fingers draw a tranquil melody along his sleek piano's keys, "I really do hope you're right..." My voice is so soft that he either disregards it or doesn't even hear it as he crosses the tile floor before leaning against the wall nearest to the outermost window in the room. Thalia's bright sapphire gaze stays glued onto Edward as he plays and I sighed. Please don't let my least favorite vision come true. Edward will be so heartbroken...***
~.: Jasmine's POV :.~
My mind was just a jumbled up tangle of thoughts this afternoon. I couldn't think straight during any of my classes today and I kept staring out the window as though waiting for something intriguing to happen. Anything to make school end early. Tomorrow is the beginning of spring break and I was just ready to get out of here as soon as possible.
I flinched as the sound of snapping fingers in front of my face ripped me from my thoughts and I groaned softly, rubbing at my face irritably before scowling at Jessica as she glared indignantly at me. Clearly I'd missed something important that she'd said while I was spacing out.
"I'm sorry," I mumbled disinterestedly, moving my hair out of my face as I sat up once more in my chair opposite hers, "What were we talking about again?"
"Were you even listening to me at all, Jazz?" She exasperated huffed, crossing her arms angrily before she tossed her dark brown hair over her left shoulder, her voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "I was asking you about Edward and Bella. Do you think they'll last much longer? They've been talking less and less at school." She glances around as though expecting someone to be eavesdropping and I rolled my eyes agitatedly at her while laying my head down on my desk.
"Jess," I grumbled, closing my eyes irritably, "I'm not friends with Bella or Edward so how the hell would I know? And it's not like Edward would go straight for you if they did happen to break up or something," My unenthusiastic attitude towards her meager gossip obviously offends her because she grumbles a strand of obscenities aimed at me while standing up to find a different person to talk to.
"Sometimes I don't know why I bother even trying to involve you in conversations like these," she mumbles softly, pouting irritatedly at me as I smirk in amusement at her, "You're such a buzz killer, I mean come on- Bella and I have more entertaining talks than me and you."
"Here's a tip," I murmured, still resting my head calmly on the smooth hardwood of my desk, "If you wanna talk to me, don't come to me with gossip. I don't give a shit about drama, you should know that by now. We've been friends for like almost a year now," Jessica rolls her eyes at my response and merely turns away, scurrying over to Lauren and Angela who are engrossed in a conversation concerning spring break plans. Sighing in relief, I turn my head towards the window once more, looking out at the lightly falling rain as it streaked the transparent windows like paint on a canvas. It was lulling, the soft pattering sound and the rhythmic patterns that the rain droplets were falling in and steadily, I find myself drifting into a light doze.***
The sound of the school dismissal bell ringing overhead and a demanding series of nudges in my rib cage forced my eyes to open and I grumbled softly, peeking reluctantly between the thick dark hair strands in my face at whoever was daring to wake me up from my nap. Jessica stood beside me, smirking amusedly as I huffed in objected before grabbing my backpack off the ground and standing up with my binder tucked under my left arm.
"Feeling any better now that you've had your nap, Jazzy?" She teasingly remarks as I follow her blearily out into the hallway where other students are steadily rushing outside, "You slept through the whole period, though I don't blame you since Mr. Varner didn't have any assignments for us to work on today."
I shrugged nonchalantly in reply as we made our way out into the parking lot, "I'm just glad tomorrow is spring break. I'm so ready to crash for a week," I mumbled softly, pinching the bridge of my nose irritably. Jessica nods in understand before patting me on the back in sympathy.
"Hope you have a good break. Text me laters, mkay?" She chirps before heading towards her car, not waiting for a response from me. I smirk softly to myself and start to turn in the direction towards the path I usually take to walk home, but pause abruptly in my tracks, catching a glimpse of a familiar blonde boy leaning against a black suburban next to a familiar dark brunette haired girl. It took a good long minute for my brain to recognize just who they were exactly as I approached them on the opposite sidewalk but as soon as my mind snagged the memory of their names, I gasped softly before covering my mouth in embarrassment and ducking behind one of the maple trees on the school's property.
What are Bella and Mike doing hanging out like that? Before my brain could formulate any sort of explaination, Mike leans toward Bella and kisses her gently on the lips and my eyes widen in surprise, waiting for Bella to push him away. But she doesn't. Instead, she actually kisses back and I can't help but blurt out, "What the fuck?" in a voice that shouldn't have come out so loud but it does and now they've seen me.
"Oh shit," I manage to hear Bella swear as I hurriedly turn to flee the area, "Wait! It's- it's not what it looks like!"
