Twilight: Bleeding Skies

Chapter Four

Alexandria's Pov

       The curly blonde hair with the face of someone in pain remained in my mind as I followed everyone to our rooms. He was a gorgeous human being. I believe they said his name was Jasper... Jasper. Just the sound of his name causes butterflies in my stomach, not that I will ever let that be known. Oh no. Thalia would would torture me. I shake the thoughts from my head and start to unpack. Thalia and I are sharing a room across from our Denali sisters.

"So... Edward... does someone have a crush?" I ask teasing Thalia lightly, which earns me a glare that disappears almost as quickly as it arrived and is replaced with a smirk.

"What about you? I think I see a stain where your drool hit your shirt. what was his name again? Jasper?" She retorted. I looked down hoping my hair would hide my face which was very quickly turning red.

"Oh just shut up. We need to unpack and see what Tanya has planned next." I mumbled before using vampire speed to zoom around the room and finish unpacking quickly. Thalia laughed and continued to unpack.

Jasper's Pov

           The Denali sisters brought friends with them. This concerned me. New, not to mention gifted, vampires were not to be welcomed. If we bring too many gifted vampires into the fold, the Volturi are sure to think that we are attempting to overthrow them. This would not be good for any of us. Rosalie and I have been on edge ever since Carlisle told us they were coming. I just want to know what was going through Tanya's mind when she added two sisters to her coven. She knows how high the stakes are.

           On another note, the sisters are quite intriguing. Especially the blonde girl, Alexandria. She didn't seem quite as girly as her sister and the other Denali girls. She seemed more reserved and I quite liked that. Reserved means she won't be any trouble. I think i'm going to have to ask Tanya about her new additions just to be sure it won't cause problems.

I walk to the oldest of the Denali sisters, "Hey Tanya. Could I speak to you for a moment?"

She smiles at me, " Of course Jasper. Give me a moment and i'll meet you out back, ok?"

I nod and head outside. I recently installed a beautiful porch swing that is surrounded with tulips, rose bushes, and a small fountain. I took a seat and waited for Tanya.

"Okay. I am here. What's up Jasper?" Tanya asks taking a seat next to me.

"Your new coven members. Where exactly did you meet them?"

"Oh. I met Thalia outside of a small café in Anchorage. Their house had burned down and she was waiting on Alex to meet up with her so that she could tell her sister the house was gone along with their parents and older brother," She said with the saddest look on her face.

I can't imagine how that day must have been for the girls, " So, are you the one who turned them?"

She nodded, " Yes. I turned them about three months after that day. They've been with us ever since. What's with all the questions?"

I sighed, "They are gifted. and from what you told us before you arrived, extremely powerful when paired up. I'm worried about the volturi."

Tanya laughed, "Jasper, hun, these girls don't cause any trouble. They only feed on animal blood, like we do, they don't use their gifts unless necessary, and they are fiercely loyal to my coven. You have nothing to worry about. I'm sure the volturi don't even know they exist yet."

I let out a sigh of relief and end the conversation. I needed to talk to Rosalie, and see what she thinks of the new information I have gotten from Tanya. I direct my thoughts towards Edward to tell him to grab Rosalie and meet me in my study. My study is the only "vampire free zone" in the house because it is sound proofed.

Rosalie's Pov

Edward motioned for me to follow him. I roll my eyes and head towards Jasper's study. I hope to god that whatever he found out is enough to get rid of them. I don't have time for new members. New members equals new drama, and my family has had enough of that ever since Bella-

"Don't you finish that thought, Rosalie Hale," Edward growled at me.

"Whatever" I roll my eyes and just the door to his study, "What did ya find out Jasper?"

"They are safe. Tanya said that the girls are fiercely loyal to her coven and don't use their gifts unless necessary. She said we should be fine," Jasper continued to tell us how Tanya met the girls and came to be vampires.

I'm furious! First of all, the girls should have never been turned. They lost family and a house, but they weren't anywhere near dying!! Also, just because Tanya says they are safe, we are supposed to take her word for it?! I understand Tanya is family, but she's distant family. Tanya has caused problems for us before, so why do we trust her opinion now? I don't, but from the looks on Edward's and Jasper's faces they want me to play nice with the newbies.

I sigh and throw my hands in the air as if to surrender, "I'll play nice. I don't like it. We aren't making a good decision. but i will play nice. Just don't come crying to me when the Volturi come for our heads." I then take a chance for a dramatic exit and storm out of Jasper's study.

Where's Emmett when ya need him? I take off to go find my monkey man. He always knows how to cheer me up, even when he disagrees with me. I'll make friends with Alexandria and Thalia. I'll play nice. But if a threat appears because of them, I will end them. There will be no discussion. I will not allow harm to come to my family because they are too trusting of strangers.
