22: Runaway

The look in Jungkook's eyes is what snaps you back into reality, your brain finally processing what he's telling you to do.

Just as Jungkook turns back around to face the van, you bolt as fast as you can towards the house, not daring to look behind you. You reach the front steps and charge up them two at a time, then you yank the door open and run to the kitchen where Seokjin is just cleaning up after breakfast. Up to his elbows is covered in soapy water, the suds slowly dripping off as he rinses the dishes. At the sound of your running feet and your panting, Seokjin turns to see you standing in the archway of the kitchen.

"Y/n? What's the matter?" He sets the plate he's holding down and rinses his hands off while he watches you catch your breath.

"Someone- Jungkook-" You gasp out and clutch your chest, trying to get the message across as your lungs burn from your run.

Seokjin grabs a towel, drying his hands as he walks over to you, his brows furrowed.

"Jungkook, what? Did he hurt you again?" His voice is tinged with worry and anger when he scans your body to make sure you aren't seriously injured. You shake your head and finally get enough air in to blurt out what Jungkook told you to say.

"Everyone needs to hide."

The alarm in Seokjin's eyes makes your stomach twist as you continue, "Some van came up the hill, I don't know who it is. Jungkook seemed to recognize them and he told me to tell you to hide everyone right now."

"Did they see you? You couldn't see in the car at all?" He asks as he throws the towel down and comes next to you. You nod your head and answer him anxiously, "I think they saw me. I couldn't see anything though, the windows were too dark."

Jin nods and runs to a closet in the hallway that has coats and shoes in it. He reaches in and fumbles around for a second before pulling out a gun. Your eyes widen when you see it, then you look into his eyes and see him fully composed.

"Go upstairs and get everyone you can find up there, then you all need to go to the basement." He says before walking toward the library, not turning back to see if you're doing it.

You run up the stairs, almost tripping when you get to the last step, but you catch yourself and fly down the hallway. You start banging on all the doors, throwing them open and panicking when you don't see anyone. Then you reach your room and yank the door open, revealing Tae and Ga-In sitting on the floor playing cards. The two of them look at you in surprise when you rush in and grab their arms, trying to pull them to their feet.

"Get up! Get up we have to go!" You cry and tug on them until they stand. Ga-In grabs your hand, "What's going on, Y/n?" She says anxiously. You shake your head, seeing Taehyung searching your face, trying to figure out why you're so upset.

"There's no time to explain, but you need to get down to the basement right now. Seokjin said so." At your last words, Tae grabs Ga-In's hand and drags her out of the room. You rush out and down the hall until you find Jimin's room. You open the door without knocking, "Get to the basement right now!" You say frantically when you see Jimin laying on his bed reading a book, "Where's Yuri?" You look around the room but don't see anyone else.

Jimin sits up in confusion, setting the book down, "She's talking to Yoongi hyung. What's going on?" You hurry back out of his room, saying over your shoulder, "Just go to the basement I'll explain in a minute!"

The last three doors contain the eldest's rooms. You randomly open one and sigh in relief when you see Yuri and Yoongi sitting on his bed and talking. Yoongi stands up immediately, already sensing that there's something wrong.
