05: 데이트
"HE JUST CALLED me cute, right?" I turned to face Jungkook as he slung his bag over his shoulder, looking bored, as we walked.
"Yes, he did." Jungkook said, yawning, as he turned to me. "He called you cute."
"So I wasn't dreaming," I muttered in relief, before my heart warmed completely.
"No you weren't," Jungkook affirmed.
"He called me cute," I whisper softly to myself, a small smile blossoming on my face. "And I wasn't dreaming."
"What mundane things you dream of, Pres," Jungkook yawned. "You got so happy after he called you cute, I could imagine your reaction if you were to date him."
At this, I snapped my eyes back to Jungkook, clenching the textbooks tight to my chest. "Date?"
Jungkook half-hummed, seemingly uninterested as he did so, but I knew better than anyone by now that Jungkook was serious when it came down to things he set his goals on. This, I guess, was one of them.
I mean, he'll pretty much get expelled if he hadn't agreed to my plan.
Which made me realize I was a jerk. Then again, when it came to my own ambitions, I was willing to do everything. This deal is a part of that.
"Yeah," he said ever so casually, "Isn't that our goal?"
For some reason, when he looked at me with that face, I got flustered. "Y-Yeah, but, I mean—"
"Then there we have it," Jungkook then put his hands inside his pockets, "That's our goal. Now all we need is a concrete plan."
I didn't say anything, but listened to Jungkook, before doubts started to raise. "And how're you going to do that?"
Jungkook glanced at me, smirking, "What did I tell you, Miss Top Two? Never underestimate this guy. I know all about dating."
I stopped in my tracks, furrowing my brows, somehow surprised. I mean, I had the hunch Jungkook was popular, but he was always playing around, looking like he wasn't too serious about anything except when he takes tests.
But I guess I was wrong. Again.
Jungkook also stopped in his tracks, glancing back at me to tilt his head, "Why are you so surprised?"
"I—" My cheeks flared, "It's just that you didn't look like the type..."
Jungkook smirks, "You don't even know me, Pres." He said, before sauntering to me and leaning forward so he could look straight at my eyes. "I'd suggest you take your own advice."
For a moment, I was struck in my place, not knowing what to say, but I had smile slightly, which caused Jungkook's eyes to light up in surprise as he stared at me.
"That was a great comeback," I smiled, "Well, I trust you."
He stared at me for a few more seconds, eyes intense, like he was studying something before he cracked a smile. "Alright. Then we'll have to come up with a plan."
I nodded, gripping my books tight. "Okay. When?"
"Jojo's Pizza," he had only said, easing away from me, "Know that place?"
"Yeah, it's where I order pizza and—" I stop, before pressing my lips, "It's where you work."
"Bingo," he said, grinning at me, "How about a date night, Pres?"

I NEVER HAD a date, not even for once in my life. Which didn't sound surprising, at all. I don't even have friends, except for my cousin, who always gets drunk, let alone had a relationship with anyone.
