Baku POV
I was outside playing with some of my action figures when I noticed that one black haired kid from school. Why does he seem so sad all the time..he's always looking down. Then I noticed the wagon he was dragging behind him with a small girl sitting in it. She looked about two or three. When he got close enough he spotted me and we stared at eachother. "What?" I asked with a rather intimidating tone. He flinched slightly and I became confused. "What's wrong?" I asked with the tiniest bit of concern in my voice "o-oh sorry I-...I just don't like people y-yelling at me" he responded in a quiet soft voice.
I cocked my head to the side as a response as stupid as that was. I heard the hag calling me in for lunch..then I popped the questione "do you...wanna come over for lunch?" I asked trying to sound confident. His eyes widened slightly and he nodded. He picked up the little girl went inside,my mom was quite surprised I brought someone over but treated him well. After lunch we talked for a bit then he went home..he's a strange kid...but he's cool.
Kiri POV
As I was walking home I noticed a similar old rusted pick up truck in the drive way. I could hear my heartbeat echoing in my ears as I approached the house hoping to god my dad was actually in an ok mood. I opened the door slightly and it was an all to familiar sight...my dad was of course pissed off and I knew that no matter how quiet I was he would throw my mom aside like a chicken bone and he would come after me. I needed to think of something. Since my house has only one floor I snuck around to the back I opened the window to my sisters room first putting her in a small basket used for her toys near the window then I climbed in.
After that whole ordeal (spy kids are shaking) I set her on the changing table and rummaged through her drawers pulling out a pink dress with black flower accents on the skirt. I changed her into that and combed her hair putting it into a braid since her hair was quite long. After a while me and my sister had fallen asleep...when I woke up it was night...and I heard sirens
