Christian's p.o.v

It was 7am in the morning when my butler Alfred knocked on the door "master your parents are here to see you" he says nervously knowing I wasn't a morning person, I glance at the alarm clock and groan getting up "tell them I'll be down once I have gotten dressed" I mutter, "yes master right away" I hear Alfred say before footsteps leading away from my room I sigh and go to my ensuite taking a quick shower before walking into my bedroom with only a towel wrapped round my waist I go to my walk in wardrobe and pick out my suit before getting dressed and walking downstairs.

As I enter the living room I see my parents chatting and having a laugh with Alfred, I clear my throat getting their attention, Alfred bows and walks off to do his business, I sit down in my armchair looking at my parents "what brings you here this early in the morning especially without a call mother father" I says raising an eyebrow at them, "what are we not allowed to see our only son when we want" my mother says pretending to be hurt, I roll my eyes and look at her "you only come early mother if you want something or you have something to say" I reply, she sighs and looks at me "son don't you think it's time you settled down and I dont know maybe have kids surely one of them nice ladies you bring round will love to settle down with you?" She says looking at me sincere, I rub the bridge of my nose "one their not nice ladies their hoes and two I have too much work to take care of some bratty kid" I reply getting slightly annoyed.

I watch the shock and horror appear in my mother's face " Christian James Huntsman that's not a nice way to talk to your mother apologize to your mother now" my father said giving me a disapproved look, I glance at my mother seeing she was close to tears I sigh "I'm sorry mother I'm just not ready to settle down with a woman yet you know how my ex's treated me" I say softly, "well you don't have to settle down dear you can adopt someone that needs a nice home just like we did to you" my mother says looking at my longingly, I had known for my while now that my mother was wanting a grandchild but I just never thought I'd have the time to take care of a child.

I think for a moment then look at my father "would it affect my work?" I ask, I watch my father shake his head "no son I'm sure we can always get Alfred to take care of the kid while your working, we'll hire them a tutor so they don't have to go school and if Alfred can't take care of them then your mother and I will help okay son" he explains, I sigh "fine I'll go to the orphanage and have a look" I say to them, I watch my mother smile with joy and pride and she walks over hugging me "that's my boy" she says, I smile hugging her before bidding them good-bye.

"Alfred tell Thomas and Angie to get the car ready were going to the orphanage " I order, Alfred walks in and bows "yes master" he says before rushing off to get the car sorted, I grab my phone and dial the orphanage number mother had given me, the phone rings before a woman answers "hello this is the bristle orphanage Miss Bristle speaking" they say politely, "hello Ma'am this is Christian Huntsman I would like to make an appointment to meet the children at your orphanage I'm hoping to adopt one" I say, "Mister Huntsman why of course sir when would you like to see them?" She asks, "hmm in about an hour" I reply, "yes sir I'll get the kettle and files ready" she replies before bidding her good-bye.

I walk to the car and Thomas opens it bowing to me, I get in and out my seatbelt in before the journey to the orphanage begins, I arrive an hour later, again Thomas opens the door and lets me out, I walk to the door and knock on it, an lady in her early 50's opens the door " good morning Mister Huntsman do come in" she says stepping aside, I walk into the house and look around a small girl catches my eye and I look at her curiously, why in hell is this poor girl on her hand and knees, I raise an eyebrow at her only for Miss Bristle to cut me out my daze "oh don't worry about lily it's cleaning day so the girls tend to help around the house" she says, lily what a beautiful name I think to myself before nodding.

I walk into the living room glancing around before I heard the lady quietly yell at the girl to go make tea thinking I wouldn't hear I roll my eyes before Miss Bristle walks in "please do take a seat" she says politely giving me a smile even though I knew it was fake, I sit down looking around "it's a fairly small house how many children you got here?" I ask curiously, "oh we have six young girls between the age of 10 and 17 then me and Miss Honey she helps with the girls" she replies I nod then hear a small patter of feet.

I look up to see the small girl from earlier carrying a small tray of tea and biscuits, she stumbles in clearly struggling I stand up to go help her only for her to trip and pour tea on my blazer and fall over, I watch as Miss Bristle stands up "you stupid girl now look what you done to the poor man's suit say sorry now" she snaps, I glance at the girl only to see her on the verge of tears, she begins to cry uncontrollably " I sowwy" she cries rubbing her eyes, I walks over picking her up and begin to rock her gently trying to calm her down, I watch as she slowly calms down and looks up at me, I hand her a handkerchief so she can wipe her tears and blow her nose "there there little one it's okay it was only a accident" I coo, the little girl lays her head on my shoulder and my breath hitches slightly but I relax letting her.

After she has fully calmed down I set the little girl down, helping her clean up I pat her head and giver her a warm smile watching as she leaves, as soon as the door is closed I glares slightly at Miss Bristle, she looks at me  "I'm so sorry about lily she can be very clumsy especially when in her own little world" she says nervously, I roll my eyes then looks at the girls files but lily's one caught my eye the most I think before looking at Miss Bristle "I want to adopt the little girl hat spilt tea on me" I say showing her lily's file, Miss Bristle gaups at the file shocked " you sure you want to adopt lily she can be quite a handful especially with her autism surely you want to look at the others girls" she says clearly hoping I would change my mind, I get slightly annoyed " no no I would like to adopt lily and that's final now where's the papers" I say sternly.

Miss Bristle sighs in defeat opening the door whilst looking at me I see lily run off in the corner of my eye and wonder if she was listening, Miss Bristle leads me to her office while I wait for her to get the adoption documents I ring Alfred telling him to collect lily's belongings, Miss Bristle hands me the papers and I sign the documents, once signed I walks to lily and gently pick her up slowly walking out the orphanage.

"Wait what about my belongings I can't leave Lulu" lily says squirming in my arms, "my butlers have gone to your room and collected your belongings don't worry little one" I say gently putting her in the car and strapping her in, I sit next to her and look at her only to see her arms folded as she sulks slightly her head on the window I sigh check my phone for any emails or missed calls , I glance over at lily only to see her asleep, I sigh why did I agree to this I think to myself.
