Off guard

Ch 1 - Blinded

Brianna's P.O.V. -

My name is Brianna, I am 29 years old. I live in Nashville, Tennessee. I live on my own, and single. Sadly. My current job, is at this place called Sideline's. I am a waitress, and a badass one at that.

Its 5:30 pm, and I'm at my place getting ready for work. I touch myself up with make-up; bronzer, eyebrows and eye make-up with a touch of hot red lipstick. Next, is my ball of hair. I have bright blonde and black underneath to give it that cute look. Curling it was what I was aiming for, and I'm done by 6:30.

Time for work already? Let's go make that money, and get this over with.

I grab my purse and keys and I'm off to work. We don't have uniforms, so we get to wear whatever. My look is daisy dukes, and a cute lacey white top and cowboy boots. I'm so asking for it.

I get there and the ladies I work with are all gawking over me.

"Why are you single?! You need to find you a man!" Brooklyn giggles.

"I swear she gets about more than one number a night!" Haley brags.

I blush and laugh," oh stop y'all. I just do this to make tips." I clock in for I am late and start getting myself prepared for the night with the ladies. The loud country music starts playing.

The girls ask me to come meet them for a sec.

"C'mon BRI! Time for a shot or two to making it through this thing !" Brooklyn says handing me one smiling. We take back our shots and booty bump our sides. Yep, this is our handshake.

An hour into my shift..

"WHEW! Is it hot in here or is it me?!" I say putting empty dishes in the dish pan.

One of the girls agreed with me.

I go back out of the back and the host tells me I got another one seated since I have like a million other tables. Yay. Strutting my stuff over to the table, looks like just a guy in a camo ball cap and sunglasses.

He's pretty cute.

"Hi, I'm Brianna, what would ya like to drink sir?" I smile innocently.

"I'll take a Budweiser please." He smiles back.

"Alrighty no problem with that!" I smile and walk back to the back getting his beer, while dancing to the music. I come back and I set his beer down.

"What's a man like you doin' alone in a restaurant?" I look at him.

"I'm lonely and single," he chuckles a little.

There's no way.

"Awh, I'm sure a mighty fine lil' lady will come across you," I smile and wink, asking if he is ready to order.

"Yeah maybe someone mighty fine as you. I'll get a number one please." He smiles big.

"Aren't you too sweet, " I blush and write down his order and take his menu and leaves to go to the other tables.

Jason's P.O.V.

I honestly think she doesn't even know it's me. I mean I have sunglasses on, but am I really that disguised?

I check her out over in the distance. Goddamn, she's so sexy. I catch myself biting my lip, then drink my beer. I have to hang out with her. She comes back just a short few minutes later, and smiles that breathtaking smile.

"Here you are, your number one."As she serves my food.

I smile," is there anyway your free tonight after you get off?"

"Oh, honey I won't be off for a good 3 hours." She kinda says looking down about it.

"I don't mind it, I can wait." I smile and start digging in my food. She smiles back, I think I made this girls night.

"I guess I can say yes cause a guy waiting this long for me is the sweetest thing." She grins big and walks off.

That southern draw of hers turns me on. Mm.

Brianna's P.O.V.-

I just got asked out on a date! Wait. I don't even know his name. Is this a blind date?! He hasn't even took off his sun glasses.. Maybe this is a good thing?

I walk back in the back and the girls find something different about me.

"Why are you so happy?" They say in a unison, and laugh.

"I just got asked out on a date!!!" I say kneeing down then back up jumping.

"Aww, so happy for you brii!" Haley says.

"Yeah me too! " Alexa points out.

The night is finally over with, and he's still here. I smile.
