"She literally said, 'If you come to my church then I'll go to yours twice.' And I agreed to it because once in a lifetime offer, right?" I chuckle lightly and take a bite out of the toast I had made earlier when I had gotten the phone call.

It was my mother. She calls every other day to check up on me since I had moved out into my own place last month.

I went over to my bed that held my work uniform and started to get dressed with the phone still to my ear.

"Mom, I already told her I was going and I'll be able to go to our church Wednesday night. It's not like I'm going to her church permanently." I say as I pull on my socks and go to put my shoes on.

Just then my cat starts pounding on the door to  be let inside, which I gladly do. As soon as she steps in the house she starts screaming at me about what she's been up to outside.

I grab my purse and working hat off the coffee table in the living room and start out the door to my car, but freeze at temperature outside and go sack inside for my jacket.

"Mom, I got to get to work. I'll talk to you later. Yeah, love you too! Bye-bye." I say then jump behind the wheel and start towards work.

I pull up to the building in my Sunday best and hair curled and clipped back. I look up at huge beautiful church that has multiple other buildings branched out of it. The church was almost designed like Hogwarts or like an old castle, except for the colorful pane glass windows. The parking lot has multiple rows and wraps around the church.

I get out of my car locking the doors after I grab my purse from the passenger seat and with the wind pushing me forward I walk through the doors and am greeted with large high ceilings and beautiful chandelier hanging from it.

I scan the crowd looking for my coworker and once I see her I walk up to the pew, slightly anxious, pushing a strand of hair behind my ear and looking at the floor.

I sit beside her and look around the room and I notice a tall dark haired and pale guy standing in the back of the room staring my way. He's wearing a faded white button up shirt with the tie loosened half way down his chest and a thin blazer over his shoulders with dress pants that are pulled snug outlining thin but muscular legs. His dark brown eyes seemed sharp under the shadow of choppy black hair seemingly unkept.

I blinked thinking that maybe I was imagining it, but Sarah, my coworker, leans over my shoulder to whisper in my ear, " What ya staring at?"

"Nothing! Don't worry about it!"

"I wasn't worrying! I was just wondering why your staring at that guy!"

"If you knew what I was staring at why ask?" I narrow my eyes at her with a quirked eyebrow.

"Just wondering if you'd tell me or not. Why are you so defensive? What is it? Love at first sight or something?" She questions with a smirk and leaning closer and closer with each question.
