"IZZY'S POV."

"What's her name?" Shawn asked as I to walked towards the stairs.

"Ruby." I said.

"Wow that's a cute name." Shawn swooned.

"Thanks." I said.

I made it to the top of the stairs with Shawn and Wesley standing next to me.

"Wow... Who would believe that the captain of the panthers can't converse with her wolf." Wesley said chuckling.

I giggled knowing exactly what he was talking about while Shawn snickered.

I scanned through the scanned through the guest looking for dad. When I spotted him, he was already looking at me smiling. As I was about to go down the stairs I saw someone who looked like my mate. I lifted my head back and saw he was standing behind my dad with a shocked expression.

I tightened my gripped Shawn's hand. He sensed my discomfort and squeezed my hand.

I made my way down the stairs focusing on my steps so I don't fall face first and embarrass myself.

Happy birthdays were thrown to me as I made my way through the crowd while either nod in appreciation or say thanks.

"Dad." I said when I was close to him.

"Izzy... How are you?" He asked.

"Fine dad." I answered looking behind him.

"This is Alpha Asher and Ace, his son." He said. "And this is by daughter Izzy, short for Isabelle."

"Hi Alpha Asher... Its nice to meet whom my father spends most of his time with." I said politely.

"Ah... Its nice to meet you to Keegan talks about you all the the time." He said while I smiled.

"Oh... This is Shawn." I said pointing to Shawn.

"Where is Everly?" Dad asked.

"She's-"

"Here." Ever said cutting me off.

"Hi Keegan." Ever said while dad waved.

"Hello Alpha Asher... I'm Everly May. But my friends call me Everly or Ever." She said eagerly.

"How do you know I'm Alpha Asher." He said confused. "I could have been a random guy."

"Well you're practically famous for being one of the strongest packs." She said. "Which means almost everyone knows you." While I giggled.

"Izzy." Ruby said gaining my attention.

"What's it Ruby?" I asked politely.

"If he comes to you let him explain." She said.

"Why would I do that."  I said.

"Izzy... Because everyone should be given a chance to explain." She said sad.

"Fine. But if he doesn't explain today I won't give him a chance again." I stated.

"OK." She said.

"Dad, my teams here." I said smiling.

"Oh... You can go and Ace go with them." I was about to protest on the Ace following us part but I thought better of it, known I'm not ready to answer the question 'why'.
