Spider-Man (2002) Part 1

The slow build of a dramatic score was heard throughout the theater. What came next were the flashing images of superheroes and action sequences flipping by like the pages of a comic book. Quickly enough, it all faded to a red logo with white, bold words in the middle.

"Wait. What was that about?" Ruby raised her brow in confusion, although showing a hint of intrigue.

"It... looked like a bunch of comic books characters on pages." Jaune tried to analyze as he attached his head. "But that's about all I got."

"Hmm... now that I'm seeing it, I do recall MARVEL as one of the gallery options back at the museum." Oobleck recollected. "I can't say I could have predicted it would be in relation to a universe about super heroes."

"Oh, it's more than just one universe. This particular universe belongs to an even larger sub section of the multiverse." Vortech explicitly explained. "Welcome, to the MARVEL multiverse. Filled with universes of bright, bold, and daring-do super-heroes... and now having said that, I feel as though I'm about to retch up something fierce for how sappy and tacky it was. It's a shame I have no proper mouth to let it happen, though."

"I can't believe I'm asking this, but what would your that even look like?" Roman hesitantly asked Vortech. "Would it look like a smelly puddle of space and stars?"

'How about rainbows?' Neo signed.

"Your guesses are good as mine." Vortech shrugged.

"Okay... getting back to the super heroes stuff, here." Ruby interjected, grossed out a bit by the direction of the conversation. "So I'm basically going to see myself as a classic comic book super hero?"

"Well, the entire MARVEL multiverse originated from the pages of comics in a proto-universe, so you're not too far off." Vortech replied.

"Proto-universe?" Oobleck repeated in question.

"Later." Vortech waved off the teacher.

"So if this is an entire multiverse in of itself, would that mean there are multiple versions of this superhero friend Ruby out there?" Penny asked Vortech after some calculative thinking.

"Right on the nail on that one." Vortech pointed his staff at the android girl. "In fact, there's a multitude of different universes in the MARVEL multiverse that focus on either one person or a particular group of people."

"Really, now?" Ozpin asked. "How many of us are in this branch of the multiverse?"

"Just about everyone in this room has counterparts in the MARVEL multiverse." Vortech stated. "A universe where Oobleck transforms into a hulking, raging monster. A universe where Taiyang leads an intergalactic band of rebellious outcasts that defend their galaxy. A universe where Nora Valkyrie is a god of thunder. A universe where Pietro Polendina can shrink to the size of ant and still pack a nasty wallop. There's one where Mercury Black is bonded to an alien slime that turns him into something that could almost be mistaken for a Grimm. In another universe, Qrow is bonded with a demonic entity and hunts down sinners all over the world with relentless brutality. You, Ozpin, are even a wizard once more here; except you protect Remnant from some of the worst the mystical world has to offer."
