Never Expected It (HIATUS)

Chapter 23

Taking a stroll every morning sure do helps me to clear my mind. I stop on a lark and sat down on one of the benches. Ahhh the sun is shining down on me. I close my eyes and relax myself.

"hey"

"oh freaking frog!" my eyes jerk open.

"Sorry did I startle you?"

"Oh. It's you." I smile at him.

He return the smile but it didn't reach his eyes. "May I?" he asks as he pats the sut beside me.

I move a little to give him space and smile. He sat down and watches the children running around the park.

Silence...

"Umm so... what are you doing here again?" I ask.

"Just to clear my mind maybe." He says casually.

"Oh what a coincidence. Me too." I flash him a smile.

Silence again. Oh gosh.

"Can I share something to you? I need a piece of advice." I was startled because he just suddenly talked out of the blue but I nodded.

"Sure yeah"

"I have a friend who loved a girl so much he's ready to give up every thing for her and the girl feels the same way too. So yeah they got into a relationship, at first they were happy but then at some unknown reason the girl left him behind and didn't show up anymore. He heard she moved to another country but he wasn't able to know which one. That event left him broken hearted and he thought he couldn't live anymore but he decided to wait. He held on to the hope that maybe someone will come for him, to save him from his misery. Then there's this girl that feels so unordinary. She's the type of a girl he has just encountered." He pause and stares deeply to my eyes. This feels awkward but I didn't break eye contact. "He felt this some kind of attachment. And voila, he just woke up one day already falling slowly for her. He tried to stop himself but its too late. He felt that he already fall and at the same time, the girl already fell for someone. What should my friend do?" He look up the sky and blink.

"You know what I don't feel like your friend really loves the girl as in love in a special way. Maybe just maybe, its just all in his mind. Maybe he thought she was the one but the truth is he's just being blinded by his wish to be saved by someone. Yes maybe the girl is kinda special to him but you know maybe what he thought he felt was just a friendly love..." Oh god. I suck on giving out advices. I bit my lower lip and wait for him to respond.

He looks at me with pained eyes and tried to show me his smile. "Oh maybe that's the way it is."

"Zayn, are you okay?" I pat him on his shoulders.

"Umm yeah?"

"Why are you not sure?"

"I don't know. I just seem to not be sur on anything..."

Without second thoughts, I hug him. "You know we're friends right? I can lend you my shoulder for you to lean on." Hey he needs a friend! I can feel it...

"Yeah, friends." He broke the hug and stood up. He wipes his tears and grins down at me. "The morning is too beautiful to cry. Haha. Okay, thank you very much Chelsea. See you around." He turns his back at me and starts walking away.
