'Why...Why? Why do they do this? I've done nothing to no one... Just want to be free... see the blue skies one more time before I die in this hell hole.'  Sitting up I look up at the dirty ceiling of the cell they hold me in. 'I'll be lucky if they decide to feed me today.' just then I hear the harsh clang of my cell door being swung open.

"Hey there kitten, it's feeding time," My usual guard/tormentor  Kyle said throwing down my plate of food. I quickly scrambled to get it, relishing the refreshing taste of the crisp cool water chug down my throat. I quickly ate, not stopping once to breathe.

"Hey, hey, hey! Slow down before you choke yourself kitten!"

I simply looked up at him. I finished eating and threw the plate at him.

"Hey! Bitch." He snarled. I grinned.  Then I felt it, a large amount of water coming my way. I focused all my energy on the water. I heard a loud bang! The sound of rushing water gave me joy. The guard realized what was happening quickly rushed towards me and put a knife to my neck.

"Whatever the hell your planning, stop before I put this damned knife through your throat. I don't wanna have to crave you up as I did to your pretty face."

The blade shook at my throat. He was scared. And he had every right to be. The three lines carved under my left eye were the reason why I don't look in the mirror. They were hard to miss too, the longest one almost reached my lip. I remember that day, how he and his buddies pinned me down as he carved into my flesh. Me screaming, crying for them to stop. I was a mere child then. I'm not anymore.

"Too late."

The water flooded in I used my powers to freeze the water, becoming very sharp icicles. I used the icicles to impale the guard and free myself from the chains. As expected, The alarms went off. I heard the pounding of feet. With the water flowing around me I step out of the cell.

Standing proud, I waited for the guards that have come to subdue me.  Once I saw them come around the corner, I launched my attack.  I used the water to suffocate them. Some tried me from behind, but I threw up a wall of ice.  I enjoyed their there cries and pleas for their lives.  Leaving a trail of bodies behind me I make my way to the head scientist office.

Waves upon waves of guards came at me. I was started to grow tired of using water, so I used the guard's own blood from inside bodies boiling them alive. Once I realized that I had killed every guard in the facility. I used the water to turn into mist and help me flew into the direction where I desire most.  Dr. Stones's office.

Using the water pressure, blew the hinges off the door.  The Dr in shock fell out of his chair.

"Y-Y/n? H-how I thought the guards had already..."

"Enough talking, where is the Control room."

"The control room why on earth..? "

"Tell me, old man," I growled slowly boiling his blood.

"Fine! FINE, PLEASE STOP! I WILL TELL YOU."

I stopped.

"The floor above mines. Please, let me live, I have a wife .. kids! Wouldn't dare kill me knowing that!"

"Would I ?" I say grinning. I boiled him alive.

I went to the control room. Every one seeing me stopped. I quickly impaled them. Seeing the big engine I began destroying, wires, dumping water into the engine. Years of frustration, anger, depression, anxiety propelled me on as I destroyed the room. Using those feeling fueling my powers, I destroyed the engine.  Running out the room using the water I room towards my freedom. Blasting holes through walls and ceilings with my water, at last, I saw it, the moon. Just as big and as bright as I remembered.

KA-BOOM!

As the building behind was blown to rumble. I glance around. I was in an abandoned part of the city. I heard sirens heading my way.  That was bound to happen. I had no one to turn to, nowhere to run. My parents are dead. I don't know anyone. As the sirens crept closer, I headed to the city. I wanted to get far, far away from here.

Spending a night on a bench I came to realize my clothes made me stick out a bit. They indeed made me seem like I escaped an insane asylum. After walking around I walked past a telephone pole, on it was a faded poster, on it read:' Travel to Tokyo today! Enjoy the live action of heroes in action!'

'Tokyo? Heroes? To Tokyo, I go then. But first, I need to something about these clothes.'

Breaking in the nearest thrift store I found some black skinny jeans that fit me well, and black cropped shirt, a black leather jacket, and some black combat boots. I found a black bandana and wrapped it around my face. Knowing that some police or some hero would be here soon I quickly located the register took all the cash and put it in a small bag.

I quickly leave the store, I hail a cab to take me to the nearest seaport. After several hours I handed the cab the money. Smelling the sea was another joy I was glad for.  Stowaway on a cargo ship headed to Tokyo. I smiled for the first time in years.

The start of my new life.
