Lelani

I stood at the door, staring for what felt like a good 5 minutes.

"Yoooo ma? You good?" The boy snapped his fingers, snapping me out of my daze.

"I'm great now." I replied making him laugh. I know my corny ass did not just say that. I can't flirt for shit. Maybe if I hold my head down and stand still, they'll think I passed out.

Nah, I don't never get that lucky.

I looked back up and his mouth turned up into a full smile. When I say it got hotttttt. Hell ain't got nothing on my face right now.

This mf was beyond fine.

Brown skin. Tattoos covering his body. Hair in wicks.

And his smileee? That smile. A mouth full of gold.

And not them fake ass caps that the niggas at my school be buying from the Arabs. These were real. It was dark out and they still shined.

I was definitely getting South Florida boy vibes from him.

I didn't realize that I was still staring until this pretty, brownskin girl walked up beside him.

Nah. Pretty was an understatement. She had me questioning my sexuality.

Sike, I'm still looking at that nigga beside her

Sike, I'm still looking at that nigga beside her. She really was gorgeous though.

Then it clicked.

"Omg, are y'all Dawayne's brother and sister?" I asked, kinda embarrassed that I had them standing there for so long.

"Yeah, and you are?" She asked, looking me up and down. I couldn't tell if it was shady or curious, so I'd just let the night play out.

"I'm Lelani, come on in."

When we entered the living room, Dawayne had this look on his face.

Like he wanted to cry. Him and his sister hugged each other tightly.

His brother had a look on his face also. Like he didn't want to be here.

Regardless of his expression, when Dawayne walked up to him, he pulled him in for a big hug. Maybe he just looked mean as hell.

"Everybody... this is my sister, Damani. And this? This is my little brother, Damari." Dawayne spoke proudly.

"Y'all can call me Rugrat." He said to everybody but he just looked at me.

I didn't realize how deep his voice was until now. Sexy as the fuck.

Apparently, I wasn't the only one who thought so.

"Your voice deep as hell. Imma call you Batman." Milan giggled and batted her eyelashes.

This hoe was flirting with this man while her boyfriend was sitting right beside her.

Poor thing probably wasn't even the one who gave her that shit.

"Uh coo.. what's yo name?" He replied to her skeptically.

"Hot Cheeto." I answered with a straight face, causing everyone to look at me.

"HAHAHA, don't pay her any attention! It's just a little game we play. I'm hot Cheeto and apparently she's a salty ass pretzel." Milan tried to get the attention away from herself as she quickly walked across the room towards me.

She pulled me to the kitchen. Everyone else started or continued their conversations.

"What the fuck is up with you tonight? You on something?" Milan asked me, fuming at this point.

I paused for dramatic effect.

"Yeah bitch I'm on oneeee" I laughed, saying it in my best Drake voice.

She rolled her eyes and stomped back to the couch.

I grabbed a bottle of water and walked back into the living room, sitting on the opposite couch.

I was swiping through insta stories when I felt someone burning a hole in my face from staring.

Nah it can't be who I think it is. Bitch yes it is, look at him. No bitch don't do it. I had a quick mental battle with myself. Okay okay, look up on the count of 3. 1.. 2.. 3..

And sure enough... Rugrat was staring at me. He didn't even stop when he saw me look up at him. Bold.
