Lavender ended up sleeping in her mother's bedroom that night. The sight was just too cute for words. Gregory had to snap a few pictures for his collection. He quickly left the room once Mother started to stir.
He left her bedroom and went on down stairs where he started a pot of coffee then left the house being sure to lock the door knob before he shut the door.He jumped into his truck and headed on down the road to his new house. It was falling down and not fit to live in. Which for him was perfect. He did what he always does. He started remodeling it. But was sure to add a secret hatch that would lead down into a secret basement. He had already created the basement and had it set up for his games with his victims. He walked to the wall where his last girl had been chained until she was no longer fun. He had hung a picture of her up on the wall. She was fifteen and had long thick golden curls when he first grabbed her. When she left she was seventeen and her hair was falling out. Some girls just cant play games like others.
He played with a lock of her golden curls that he had taped to her picture.
He grunted and put the picture back on the wall and then walked over to the other side of the basement. He put a picture of Lavender's mother above a small bed and then a picture of Lavender near some chains screwed to the wall facing the table. She would be forced to watch what he does to her mother knowing full well that she was next. Her screams and begging were sure to make it fun.
He set his camera down and noticed on the old Polaroid that it showed he had taken three pictures. He cursed. He must have dropped one somewhere!Lavender climbed out of her mothers bed. She was alone in the house. Before the creepy guy she would have loved this time of day. Now not so much. Her mom was an RN so the hours were crazy most days. That and she was a beautician at the local morgue three nights a week too.
She was a hard working and good mother who did everything she could to make sure Lavender had whatever she needed. Sometimes she forgot how good she had it.
She sighed and decided to make the bed.
Once she had it completely made she noticed a picture face down on the floor. She picked it up and her face paled. It was dated from last night and was of her and her mother sleeping.
She rushed to her side of the bed and grabbed her cell phone and quickly dialed her mom's cell.
When it just went to voicemail she cursed and called up Hallie.
"Sup?" Hallie chirped into the phone "Dude, someone had been creeping in and around my house since last night. 8 just found a picture he took of mom and I sleeping!" She panicked "Okay. Hang up. Call the cops. Brett and I will be right over." Hallie ordered. She was always better at these things than Lavender.Lavender did as Hallie had instructed.
Officer Lynette Rose, also a second cousin to Lavender, was going to come over and see what she could do for the girl.Lavender had been so upset that she didn't realize she was still in her pajamas. As she started to head out of her mom's room her cell phone rang. Her mom was calling her back. She set the photo down on the bed and walked into her bedroom telling her mom everything. "That's weird. I thought maybe you were up earlier because someone had made coffee. You better stay on the phone with me until your friends or Lynn shows up." Her mom had ordered, the anxiety in her voice both soothed and made Lavender feel worse. Part of her felt relief that her mom wasn't dismissing it this time but since she wasn't, it made it even more real and dangerous.
There was a knock on the front door and Lavender started to smile thinking it was either Lynn or her friends. But when she saw a delivery guy leaving, her heart sank. "Who was it?" Her mom asked "Just a UPS guy. He dropped off a box." She answered "Oh, open it. It might be that new book I ordered." Her mom's anxiety was temporarily gone. "No. Gosh this stinks. It's....oh god mom. Come home NOW!!" Lavender sobbed.
